A big thank you to our very efficient and knowledgeable guide "Shine". I organised a quick overview of some of Shanghai's must see points of interest. We were met at our hotel a little way out of town and opted to be introduced to the transit systems of Shanghai, Shine had organised for us to see various points of interest, not just the usual tourist traps. we visited -
- XinTianDi (renovated Shikumen residential houses from 1930s) in the former French Concession
- Old town bazaar to feel the traditional architecture - this is so much more beautiful at night.
- Old residential alley and fresh food market
- (night view) The bund (gallery of international architectures) to see the colonial buildings and modern 21st century high rises in Pudong
Jean and her staff were so professional in our dealings and we could not have been happier with our introduction to Shanghai. " Shine" - you are a truly lovely man and a very professional and reliable guide. Our holiday was all the better for your knowledge and care. Thank youMore
