It took us a while to decide to shell out $55 for the breakfast street food tour, especially as one of us lives in SE Asia and gets great street food for 50 cents, but we were glad we did! Billing and communication were prompt and efficient. Directions for meeting up for the tour were clear and easy to follow. Jamie was a knowledgeable, friendly guide, and ran a very well-paced tour, including cultural sights and lots and lots of different foods. We enjoyed the small group, and got a kick out of sampling so many kinds of yummy food -- Jamie picked the best of everything, which we never could have done on our first trip. Jamie was also very helpful with recommendations for dinner, ingredients to take home, and so on. Great morning, we loved it! (P.S., as vegetarians we had to work a bit to find great food in Shanghai, but it is there and some of it is outstanding!)

We recommend Un Tour Shanghai to any visitor.

We went on night market tour as a group of residents and visitors and directly started with a big highlight in the seafood street - what a delight, tasting a lot of wonderful seefood with the fingers, fresh beer and yummie brought with us dessert. Our guide Kyle took away all hesitations from our guests and explained a lot of details here and on the way to the the second part of the happening. This happened after a longer walk through the traditional streets in the old town and we discovered old and new things, tasted for the first time the so stinky tofu - what a worthwile experience! - and ended with great dumplings and fruit. We are already planning the next tour after this great evening - looking forward to it!

I was visiting a friend in Shanghai for the weekend and wanted to do some site seeing but I didn’t want it to take up the whole weekend. Well... I lucked out! I can honestly say that doing the “run this town” route with Kyle helped me see some of the best places in Shanghai both culturally and aesthetically. The whole tour took less than three hours AND I got a great workout in! The route was planned to perfection as we dashed through the chic and authentic areas of Tianzifang , Old Town, French Concession, and the bund. Now I feel that next time I go back to Shanghai I will have a much better feel for the layout of the city and I will definitely be trying out one of their culinary tours or even another run too!

We recently did the Street Eats - Night Market UnTour and it was great. A tour with Jaime was just like meeting an old friend and wandering the eating streets of Shanghai. Jaime was extremely knowledgable and gave us a good introduction to Shanghai street food.

Jaime's choice of food and stalls was excellent. A wide variety of food types from the 4 corners of China. Jaime was conscious of everyone's dietary restrictions and preferences. She was very flexible and was happy to cater for any specific request. We tried many different things including crawfish, scallops, kebabs, hand pulled noodles, & Chinese pizza. There was lots and lots of food. We were offered stinky tofu but politely declined! Plenty of beer was also on hand to wash it all down.

The tour also involved a walk through the old part of town. This gave us a glimpse of the real Shanghai - local fruit stalls and vendors, old men wandering around in pajamas, and 80 year old women line dancing to Garth Brooks songs!! Jaime was able to tell us a lot about the history and customs of Shanghai.

We were also impressed with Jaime's responsiveness to our emails and requests. The booking process was quick and easy and the tour location was easy to find. Jaime also sent us attraction and tour recommendations which was very useful. After the tour we were even sent dumpling recipes!! These little extras reflect the UnTour attitude and approach.

Do yourself and your stomach a favor by going UnTour. You won't be sorry!!!
