My husband and I took the night market tour with Jamie as our guide. Jamie took us to two night market areas. The first area had many different kinds of seafood. The specialty was crayfish. The second area we sampled several other dishes. My favorite was a lamb noodle soup, yangrow paomain. The flatbread, roujiamo was also fabulous. We ate biangbiang mian, nui roula main and a fruit custard dessert. Jamie was very knowledgeable about Shanghai. This tour lasted over two and a half hours. It was fun being with all the locals and seeing Shanghai at night.

We went on the Night Markets tour with Kyle and it was excellent. He took us to some authentic places and we had some fun conversations with him. This is a great tour especially if you're a bit short on time in Shanghai and want to have some great eats as you would probably never find these places! We visited 3 or 4 eateries in about two and a half hours and really really enjoyed it. I definitely recommend you to take this tour if you have the chance! It was one of the best thing we did during our three weeks in China.

We took 2 eating tours and 1 cooking class with Un Tours. One tour, the Night Market Street Food tour, was with Kyle. He was lots of fun. We ate delicious food in little hole-in-the wall places. Kyle knew exactly what to order at each. Cold beer included! The other tour, Oodles of Noodles, was with Jamie. She, too, was a delight. Very fun and full of extra information on shopping, spas, other places to see. Jamie took us to four noodle shops. Each was unique, different and delicious. The noodles with peanut/sesame sauce and scallions - YUM! The cooking class with Mike, where we learned how to properly fold and make the famous Shanghai Soup Dumplings was also one of the best classes of our trip. Un Tours are highly recommended. We will definitely contact them again next time in Shanghai.

We had a memorable tour of the Shanghai night markets, which went perfectly ok with our two daughters (8 and 9 years old). Jamie was an excellent guide – both in terms of food and "everything Shanghainese". We're very grateful for an experience we would never have had on our own, and highly recommend taking a tour like this to anyone.

Just got back from an incredible to China.
Visited Shanghai and Beijing for the first time and one of the things
we love to do when we travel is to EAT!
So we thought what better way to do that than to take a Food (Un) Tour in Shanghai.
We decided on their "Oodles of Noodles" tour.
Jamie met us promptly in front of a local park that afternoon.
We then walked to the French Concession. Thought it was especially nice that all of the noodle
places were in this part of the city as it was very quaint and a nice change of pace and atmosphere.
We visited 4 different noodle places in all. One as delicious as the next.
Started out eating the entire noodle dish at the first place and by the time we hit the last place,
was only able to do "tastings" as we were so full! Wished we weren't so full as we would loved
to have visited one more noodle place.
We LOVED Everything.......so full at the end but well worth it! Ended up not having dinner that night.
We would have never known about, much less gone to any of these places otherwise.
Found Jamie to be very friendly and engaging as well as knowledgeable on the history and culture.
Had a really great time. Always appreciate the perspective of someone who actually lives there.
Jamie, it was so interesting hearing about your life in Shanghai. Would love to try the cooking class
on our next visit.
Thanks again for the Un Tour!!
