Any thing you would need this Hotel is very good at to assist and provide you with nothing but the best service.
The location is central.
Rooms are nice and lots of nice amenities one would need.
The club lounge has good food.
- Free Wifi
We stayed in an executive room, which was super roomy, and offered a great view of Shanghai cityscape (near People's Square). The hotel is centrally located, and within short walking distance of Nanjing East Road (pedestrian shopping street) and the Bund. Check in and check out was also a breeze. Service was also efficient and excellent. Free wifi in public areas.
I really loved their swimming pool and gym, and towel service was excellent. The swimming pool was about 25m, and suitably heated. The gym is slightly small, but the machines are new, and fellow users do respect the wipe rule.
The entrance might be slightly hard to find for taxis.
This is a new addition to a vast variety of Marriott Group hotels in Shanghai. The rooms are large and luxurious even for high Shanghai standards. The club lounge is very good and offers a lot of good comfort, good food and friendly personnel. The location is very central allowing access to different kinds of transportation. Fitness Center and pool are pretty good.
This is a great hotel, and I wish I had more than 1 night here. Check in was a breeze. The towels are large and fluffy as are the robes.
They have EVERYTHING you could possibly need in your room:
toothbrushes with toothpaste
Cotton balls and cotton swabs
bath salts for the huge amazing tub (that you can watch tv from if you swivel the tv in the bedroom)
Room service was just ok.
The first night ordered a burger, it wasn't bad, but the patty was so thick. I cut it in half.
The next day for lunch ordered a margarita pizza.
It's an over cheesed pizza with 3 (yep 3!) pieces of basil. For 92 RMB, I expected better.
Breakfast buffet was FABULOUS! The hot waffles as they are coming off of the griddle are to die for.
Conceirce, front desk, bellmen, were all wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!
Stunning hotel, spacious hotel room (larger than a Manhattan one-bedroom 650 sq ' box), beautiful desk area, spacious bathroom with separate shower stall, beautifully designed, sumptuous breakfast of all nationalities (see my other reviews of five star China hotels), accommodating staff, free Wi-Fi in the lounge, but makes for an interesting experience, and if you're on a tour, nice place to re-group... well-worth the stay... electric conversion outlets in the room, European and American - no need for separate converter... just plug it in...
We stayed at this hotel in June 2013 and were very pleased. It has all the usual features for a hotel in this class; e g very nice rooms and bathrooms, pool, gym, restaurants, nice service, but the thing that suprised us a bit was the very relaxed and cosy lounge area. You could just hang there and have a drink when it rained outside or have afternoon tea. They also had smaller meals. There was also a very nice coffe shop where you could buy a lighter breakfast or some pastries. The whole area was very welcoming and nice to 'chill' in.
We can also recommend the Bistro restaurant where they serve a huge and very tasty buffee. You also get a bucket of Carlsberg bears included in the price (about 300 RMB).
