I have stayed at this hotel a year ago... The only good this is the average price and location near bund.. My room was only okay, but was "tired".. The hotel is generally in poor shape regarding cleanliness.. It really needs a redeveloping.... Its not up to German or Swiss Ibis hotel standards..

Note: I noticed many europeans visitors walking round the hotel with "long faces".. Stay here only if you have to!

The lift was dirty and hallways do not smell fresh.

The internet is VERY VERY slow, don't bother logging in.. (I had to visit Costa coffee everyday to read and send emails, paying 3 Euros for a coffee everytime)

If you can afford it, stay somewhere else. This place won't impress any business contacts...

Room Tip: Shanghai is a dirty city, don't expect hotels below 100 USD to offer cleanliness and luxury.. T...

Clean, close to the action, walk to the Yu gardens and when visiting in June, a roof top bar was in the process of being built which provides a great view of the busy sidewalks. The manager is currently a very friendly Aussie who provides helpful advise on the city sights and places to eat.

Room Tip: Must get a window that looks towards to shops

Nice location near Fashion YuYuan Garden Shopping Centre and 15 minute walk from the Bund. Small reception area, helpful staff, good buffet breakfast, very worn hall carpets, small rooms with cigarette smells everywhere, slow WiFi, one English language TV channel is CCTV Business News, good bathroom plumbing.

Room Tip: Most noise comes from the hallways - and other guests walking by - so every room is potentially nois...

Traveling to a foreign country where language is a barrier, it's nice to have very helpful hotel staff write down the translations you need when going out. The staff is ready to provide information about anything, whenever you need it. As for the room, it has all the essentials (comfy bed, WiFi, hot water shower, tv, air conditioning, water bottle and tea). I particularly like the organic shampoo and body wash -- nice touch. Breakfast is not included in the hotel fee but there's buffet breakfast available at the ground floor of the hotel for only RMB30 yuan. Food is not spectacular but it's ok to fuel your daily exploration. It's far from the airport but the location is ideal for those who want to explore the nearby Yu Garden, a famous garden with its landscape architecture (RMB40 yuan entrance fee); and the tourist mart with all the exotic delicacies and must-buy items. There's a tourist information center at the Yu Garden for the added convenience. One other downside -- it will take you 15-20 minutes to walk to the train station.

Room Tip: Make sure you specify a non-smoking room (if this is what you want). Our room had a smoky smell.

Stayed in a family room (double bed+single bed) for three nights.
- The room is spacious for three adults. Big window, nice natural light.
- Booked a non-smoking room but the room has smell of cigarettes.
- Generally clean, shower area has stains.
- Room is not sound proof, can always hear outside.
- Service is good. Requested an additional blanket and responded immediately.
- Requesed to help in table reservation for a restaurant, they lended us the phone at reception. (needs to pay for room phone)
- Free wifi in room, speed is so-so.
- Name cards of sexy gals were found near the door every night we got back. But that's it.
- Very good location, near to Yu Garden attractions and 10 mins walk from metro station.
- Watson's and a convenient store are just around the corner.
