“Modern hotel”

A modern hotel, very clean. Cool and clean air even during very hot days. The breakfast is very good, a lot to choose from. Very polite staff, both in restaurant and during check-in/-out. As mentioned earlier there is quite a walk to the nearest subway station, but there is staff available to provide a cab for you. There are several alternatives for eating nearby, like Pizza Hut and Ajisen Ramen if you just want something quick and easy to eat. Also, there is a Tesco supermarket 3 minutes away.

Stay there for a week , nice hotel and the surrounding is office area. Good for those who work around the area. There are two malls nearby and so looking for food is not a problem.
the hotel room is clean and nice with space big enough.
Breakfast choice is excellent and the pub is cool place to hand out after a day of hard work.
The only concern is that any loud noise from your next door can be easily heard. Corner room will be the best choice.
Free wifi if you are the member.

I must say that I have more points with Hilton than Marriott, so I was a bit reluctant... But this Marriott did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the brunch is top notch and the staff service is the best I've experienced in a long time. I was booked for 7 nights but once my conference began on day 4 of my visit I realized how far this location was from my conference and the GM, Mr. Malik, actually help me and my family get situated at another Marriott closer to my event. Which is also nice and only 6months old (Marriott Pudong East). I have no complaints. Not one.

I stayed in this hotel for business reasons. The locations is near the Hongqiao airport on the Puxi side. If you have business in Pudong or have to travel to Pudong Airport you should consider an other choice.
Service quality is very good: fast check-in, friendly staff, helpful.
Rooms are large and very well equipped. They are clean and the internet provided is fast. So it's a convenient location to keep in touch.
I would come again the next time.

I stayed here for business recently. Experience was just Ok due primarily to the hotel's isolated location. I would only book this hotel again because of convenience to a customer's location.

The hotel is new and my room was a big corner room. The Internet connection is OK and it and the wifi are free if you are a Marriott member. (Makes joining the program a no-brainer if you are not already a member).

The hotel is not centrally located and there is little to eat outside the hotel. There is a mall next door, but the food is not up to Shanghai standards. The mall is only about half occupied and has a sad empty feeling. In Shanghai, a 20 to 30 minute taxi ride to get a bite to eat is not convenient. That is OK if you have a destination in mind, but the complete absence of any non-hotel restaurants is disappointing.

Got off to a bad start when the bell boy, despite being told my room number when I checked in, failed to bring my bags up. they were left unwatched by the door for 45 minutes. Management acknowledged the slip up and gave me a free bottle of Shiraz. :)

Tried to use the Panorama Bar on the top floor. You have to take the elevator down to the lobby then back up. Only the one elevator goes to the 33rd floor. Unfortunately, it was closed for an event. No one tells you this. You just have to go up and get turned away at the door like an unwelcome guest.

I've stayed in Marriott hotels on four continents but I have to say this is the best one I've stayed in. I've been to fancier hotels but the overall experience at this Marriott was excellent. The service is discrete but excellent, I didn't feel anyone was hovering over me but they were there to help when I needed it. I had to change my reservation as I had to travel away overnight and the reception staff sorted things out in minutes without any issues. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. One on elevator ride the hotel manager happened to get in the elevator with one of his staff; instead of the usual awkward silence the manger introduced himself and his assistant, I had no hesitation in telling him what an enjoyable stay I'd had at the hotel. The leisure facilities are wonderful, the 25m pool is simply stunning, the changing facilities are second to none, absolutely spotlessly clean with an attendant available with warm dry towels and water for after, or even before your workout or swim. The buffet restaurant has a great choice for breakfast and in the evening a good selection of Indian, Chinese and European food, along with an a la carte casual dining menu. The buffet is very good value and good for groups with differing tastes. This hotel is near to our office in Shanghai and I plan to stay there on my future visits.

Stayed here twice now in January and March for 6 weeks and have only had one minor problem.
The gym is very well equipped and the sauna and steam room are very good ,nice Jacuzzi to chill out in.
Ate out most of the time but what i had in the hotel was good ,not many restaurants nearby but a taxi ride of about 20-30 min gets you to some very good places and cheap to between 20-30 Rmb.
Grab an address card from reception for taxi directions also has some good areas on the back of card to get you where you need to go.
Rooms are big and comfortable <internet is also fairly quick.
2 Bars in the hotel Panorama bar on top floor and ground floor bar both good ,Service was excellent.
The Minor problem? the previous guest in my room had kindly filled the white wine up in the mini bar with water to avoid charge :-) not really th Hotels fault.
