Stayed 2 nights at Fish Inn Hotel last week, consider as best value with the great location, 5 mins walk to Nanjing East Walking Street, 10 mins walk to Peace Hotel and famous Shanghai Bund. Our standard double room is clean with all the necessity, bed is comfy except the pillow. Staffs at the front desk are polite with good speaking of both English and Chinese. We enjoy the free coffee every morning, it is only served free if you book the hotel at their web site online. Free wifi at the lobby as well as your own bed room is another plus to chose this tiny hotel with great heart. Thanks to Tripadvisor's review, no regret.

I stayed here as a service of Blue Mountain Bund Hostel (my booked room was not representive after a party). Fish inn is on a great location near the Bund and Nanjing Road and People's Square. It is very clean and it has cosy rooms, with modern furniture, space and details. Worth the stay. I don't know the price because I paid te hostel rate. Internet works well. There was water and tea at the room. Worth a visit.

We spent 4 nights there with my family. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and it is close to subway and Nanjing Road. There are many small restaurants around. Nice place and will happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: If you have a big family like us, choose the 3 rooms apartment. Rooms are not big, but really great...

This hotel does not look like much from the outside but don't let that discourage you. It is in a great location. If you come out the hotel and walk a couple of blocks you are right at the Bund! Take a left out of the hotel and cross the bridge and you are at a huge shopping district with great bargins. Take a right out of the hotel and go about three blocks and your are at the subway (line 10 and line 2) and a huge modern shopping district. If you take the subway two stops you are at the new underground fake market! You can also take the subway to the hotel right from the airport. If you have never been to China, the subways are very easy to use and the kiosks have an English language button.

The hotel itself is a great value. I would recommend the suite as it has a larger sitting room and nice size bathroom. The walls are a little thin but this did not present a problem as the clientele staying there was never loud. Almost all the desk clerks speak English and they were all extremely helpful. The hotel does have breakfest at cost but we never tried it. We did get free coffee when we booked through their website and they have excellent coffee. The hotel is very clean and they supply slippers, shampoo and tea.

The location can not be beat. We will be going back next year!

Stayed in our of their suite rooms so we had a separate living area which was nice after weeks of travelling. The staff were attentive and helpful. The hotel is close to eating places and the subway. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the bund and only 5 minutes to the shopping pedestrian mall.
Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable by Chinese standards. Our room was away from the road so no traffic noise so sleep quality was good. The only issues were poor light in the living area but lights in the bedroom were good for reading. Also the hot water is warm at best. As it was cold weather this probably more important than it would be in summer months.
Would still recommend as the value for money is excellent.

Good location, great street food on the side streets a block or so up Middle Henan Rd., and decent little restos on the way. This place is really dated but still I would stay here again. Got a good price through Expedia. Easy walk to the subway and around. The staff is very nice. Never had the breakfast but the coffee they made was good.

First of all the location of Shanghai Fish Inn Bund is just great. From the airport you can easily reach it via Metro. It basically is in the center of the city and one can reach a lot of sights by foot. The rooms are big an clean and look quite pretty, though the furniture is not that new. We were upgraded to the suite for the first night for free, since we arrived very, very late and all the Standard Rooms were booked. I would not recommend the suite, because it's near the reception and our night there wasn't that quiet. The Standard Rooms however are great. It's very cheap either, which is nice for a hotel this good. Definitely would book it again and can only advise you to do the same. :) Staff is very friendly and helpfull, too.
