A bit dark, why do they like to put the lights off, or rather not put them on. Anyway, menu was interesting, and the food was appreciated all around. Portions were quite small, and we had to order some more food half way through, as we seemed to be running short. Prices not expensive, taste very good, service good, overall - yes we shall return.

The venue is a little industrial and minimalist, but thats the look for them, no problem. The food is simply magnificent. Fantastic flavour matching across the board. Favourites were the Duck with Plum sauce and Lime? and an Eggplant dish which was the highlight for me. Wine list is adequate.

Thanks to other tripadvisor members, I helped a distracted lady enter with the hand-wave trick on the piece of art to the right of the door. :)

After this, there are a few other unique items about the place...like the beer glass style and frosted glass floors in some areas.
Overall, it says a unique atmosphere.

As for the food and service, it was great (we came on Thursday night a bit earlier). I recommend the eggplant.

About a 5-10min walk from hengshan lu subway stop on line 1. Already recommended to several of my friends they should go...same to all of you!

It might not be a great surprise for locals, but westerns love it. It´s just the kind of approach one would like to have to Chinese food when you arrive to China. I know this place for over seven years, and still looks very impressive, cool design and fun food. Visiting the labyrinth in the toilets is a must...

You start with an entrance with a challenge to open the gate...yes it was fun but once of our partners was quick... slide the hand through the gap in the rock and "sesame open" the gate opens. Even the path to the bathrooms was entertaining...I will not give that one away though ;) While the food was excellent and the service was good it was the entertainment factor that really stuck out :)
