“fabulous dishes, seats somewhat cheap”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Great dishes, with a wide variety of choice. Very tasty, all dishes prepared excellently. Too bad seating and atmosphere is somewhat cheap and not up to the standard of the food. Nice mix of locals and foreigners, although staff has great difficulty with english. great is one can just not care and enjoy the food.

“Lots of choice, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

We have visited twice and on both occasions it has been very good, but never great.

The menu is very varied and the portions are big, so even though the cost per dish is a little more than you would pay elsewhere it's good value.

The staff and service are both very good, but there is always a quick turnover of tables (this is not a bad thing...) which means that it hasnt been the most relaxing expereince when we have visited.

The taiwanese sausage and the cabbage salad were both excellent, and the beers are sensibly priced at 30 RMB.

It's not fine dining, it's isn't fast food, it's just very comfortably sat in the middle and worth a visit.

“Casual Comfort Food... Great restaurant to go after clubbing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

Order: Cold tofu appetizer, Three cup chicken, Minced pork over rice

Skip the greasy chinese food and have a hearty comfort taiwanese meal in Bellagio! I think this is everyone's favorite place to get comfort food. The one near Xintiandi is open until 4am, so it's a perfect place to go after you dance your way out of M2.

Overall the food is good but I'd recommend the cold tofu for those of you who have never tried it. It's light, tasty, and it's tofu! The most popular item is three cup chicken. Basically it's like the Braised pork in clay pot but this is chicken. Taste good either way, depends if you are a pork or a chicken lover I guess. Best Taiwanese comfort food is minced pork over rice. Eat it and feel like a Taiwanese. The porridge and the omelette is a great combination for some warmth on cold winter days.

Desserts in Bellagio will be tempting to order. As the Bellagio dessert ritual, do order the shaved ice. Mango or green tea is a good choice to go with. And that's how you end your meal in Bellagio :)

“The best Chinese / Taiwanese food in the area!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

The portions are as expected, and their price is a little higher, but it is definitely worth it for the food taste and quality!!! Dragon beans are a must try, and I have only found them here.

“A must go for nice dessert and comfort food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2012

This is a must go each time I'm in Shanghai for comfort food. Their sanbei ji (three cup chicken) and beef stewed with turnips are good. Do try their ru rou fan (stewed pork rice) as well. Always leave a space for their dessert (even if its very cold outside) and a must-try will be their tall ice mountain - the one with red and green beans! Feel so satisfied having it. = )
