Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week 29March - 5April 2013 and the hotel is lovely. We got a suite with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, en-suite and a balcony. We were told on our first night that the room we had booked was not available and so they upgraded us to a 3bedroom suite for the night - we weren't complaining! We were expecting to find our room we had booked to be small and a bit of a disappointment compared to our first night however this was not the case at all. The room was clean, spacious and was even nicer than any of the photos show than we saw online.

Not only was our room better than we could have expected but the hotel's restaurant was also very much enjoyed on a number of nights. The food was delicious and is such good value. A meal consisting of two main courses, rice, noodles, a side and two alcoholic drinks never came to more than 180RMB.

We went down to the pool one night and were also pleasantly surprised. You are made to wear a swimcap (which can be bought from the desk) and even though we thought we looked funny it adds to the reassurance that the pool is clean and hygene is taken seriously! Although we were planning to we did not try out the spa. The prices seemed very reasonable however and when we were down at the pool sneaked a look into the rooms and it looked lovely.

The location of this hotel is also a positive. It is just slightly out from the main streets however a taxi ride is only 10mins away from the bund. (and taxis are really cheap and easy to flag down!). We walked back from the centre of Shanghai one day and did not take long at all.

Overall the hotel is excellent value for money. I have not heard of anyone else getting a room like we did for the price we paid.

We loved this hotel, it was cheaper as a family with teens to pay for a double bed room and the deluxe twin. The deluxe twin was two separate bedrooms that share a bathroom. We then put all our luggage after we unpacked into the two huge closets in kids room. So we got three fridges and three desk for homework,,, big plus with teens. Also gave us some privacy to be in own room with fire escape between us. The pool was why we booked and it was perfect, warm and steamy and huge. Perfect for long term stays too. Great prices

My daughter forgot her cell phone on a table, the door man returned it into lost and found and we got it back. So honest employees.

The shopping center is nearby and had best food court of our entire 2 month stay in shanghai!

Room Tip: Cheaper to book two rooms as family than put four in one room.

We stayed at this hotel in July with our 3 children in a 2 bedroom room. We had 2 double beds with the kids sharing. The rooms were quite small but I have to admit they were just as we expected for what we had paid. Good location, very close to restaurants & transport. To be in a major city & pay less than $50.00 / night for the 5 of us it was excellent value. The beds were quite firm but most bedding in this level of accommodation throught China seemed fairly normal. We had a good sized bathroom. Overall could recommed for the budget driven travellers like we are. Would also be good for young travellers, probably work out cheaper than hostel accommodation. The pool was also excellent for the very hot weather

(Note the travel date: 10/3/2009 - 10/11/2009, am compiling my reviews on agoda to tripadvisor as well)

Away from hustle and bustle yet it is 5-10 mins cab ride to main shopping districts and eateries, v near french concession area and taikanglu (art street). 24hr convenience store, kfc, pizzahut, hongkong cafe, massage, hotpot restuarants etc are all within walking distance. Rooms are big, with a living area to lounge, dinning area, kitchen etc. However, dont expect anything luxurious. For the price we paid, i say it's a good deal. We also got a second room for my bro, sis-in-law and their 2 yr old kid. it was very spacious, enough space for two strollers. the down side is that everything is chargeable, even the coffee. so we had to stock up food in the hotel. the leather headboard in my room was peeling off! so dont expect luxurious living. despite all that this is a good deal - mainly due to the location!

Room Tip: I didnt eat at the hotel cos there's plenty of eateries in the vacinity. Morning walk around the...

The family staid for a short week, 4 adults in a 3 bedroom apartment. Generous space, with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a washing machine. Fairly well maintained. Air-condition in every room.
But - stone hard beds! Not good for my back. The hotel provided a mattress to take off the worst pressure points. The maid did a good job. The front desk impolite, imprecise in communication, English knowledge was only fair.

Room Tip: Ask for non-smoking floor as all the parties normally goes on there. Ask specifically not to be put...
