Plenty of nice restaurants & Malls, good location to spend time & have dinner. Tried the yunan restaurant in one of the Malls, great food.

If you are a people watcher or window shopper the old French Concession is virtually a must in Shanghai. I go there during each visit and find new and different corners, nooks, and crannies to explore. Not quite the Shook in Jerusalem but if you're not amused you didn't wander far and long enough, or you belong either on the gilded shopping streets or flea markets. There is great stuff in the concession - both for gifts and self - as well as chatchkies and waving cats.
Walk and talk for a few hours: pleasant, a little bit touristy, kiche, and camp.
