The French Concession is an area filled with cafes and little shops that are nestled in narrow alleyways of old bricklined streets. It is a great place to spend a couple of hours and excellent location for taking photos. The cafes and restaurants offer a wide range of European cuisines.
The only down side to the restaurants is that they are a bit more on the pricey side compared to restaurants in general in Shanghai. The food however, is quite good. An average meal for two might cost anywhere between 300-500 RMB.
The feel is very relaxed and its a great place for alfresco dining whilst soaking in the blend of cultures as you sit watching people walking by.
