It was the first time that we had tapas for dinner in Shanghai. The experience it really worths!!!
The Balik Salmon is just an explosion in your mouth, so tasty, original, amazing!!!
We ordered various signature tapas, the octopus perfect cooked with a delicate aioli, the patatas bravas same but different, the scallop ceviche, the oysters and the paella!!! Great paella with high quality ingredients, sea flavors and really tasty!!!
Highly recommended!!! We will come back very soon!!!

We ordered several tapas, and all were tasty, the Sangria was also very good, especially on a hot day. The location near the Bund, gives you a scenic place to walk after a big meal

We were recommended this buzzing tapas bar by locals and having had a surfeit of Chinese food thought we would try it out. I see another reviewer had the same problem...it is hard to enjoy the food when sweat is trickling down the back of your neck and I had to resort to my newly purchased fan which even our Japanese and Chinese colleagues borrowed. The tapas themselves were fine if slightly small - scallops and tuna with avocado being the highlights, decent chorizo and crispy anchovies. The calamari were far too deep fried in thick batter (which was not indicated on the menu); gambas were nice and garlicky and the pickled fish of the day tasted fresh and good. The patatas bravas were distinctly glutinous and unappetising. But until they sort out the temperature, in the biggest heatwave Shanghai has seen, I would stay well clear.

First of all, why would anyone want to eat Spanish food in Shanghai? But if you get past that why would anyone run a Spanish restaurant in Shanghai where the temperature is around 100 degrees Fahrenheit without having functioning air conditioning? That's what happened last night. The manager explained that the building management (the restaurant is on the fifth floor of an office building on the Bund) controls the air conditioning and the restaurant has no control. Maybe someone should have thought about that when negotiating the lease. Any way the heat was very unpleasant and the food not great (to be charitable). Dumplings any day of the week over El Willys.
