“Need a short night to stay while waiting flight or late arrival”
Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

Since we arrived at the airport around 12.30am, we have no choice to book the nearest hotel for a night stay before we took a train to hangzhou the next morning. The hotel is around 5 mins drive from airport. Don't ever think of walking to the hotel, it is quite a distance and have to passby highway which is quite dangerous to walk. We took at taxi from airport and it only cost rmb18 (5 USD). No worry about checking in late, they will reserve the room once booking is make. We book from Agoda with a slight higer price as the room is super small with 2 single bed. The toilet is very small too, if u are big size, u will have hard time turning ur body in the toilet. I will not recommend to stay for many nights here becos with that kind of price you can find a lot better hotels in town.

I chose this hotel cause my arrival flight was already in 23.45..and I thought there was no airport bus, only taxi.
If I saw a map,it's quite near..but from google map it said it's 24 minutes by walking.cause it's already dark..I thought I went by taxi.the taxi queue line was very long..so I confused 'walking'or by taxi. And I was grateful not walking, cause it's quite far if walking. No building along the way..only high way with river..and if by taxi it's only 5 minutes and 20 RMB.
The hotel was quite small, but the twin bed was quite large bed..and although the price was quite cheap..it's very clean and bright hotel.

If you need a place to stay for one night near the airport then this place is good enough. It costs about $3US taxi ride from the airport.
Rooms are basic and clean. You get complimentary water bottles and slippers.
There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.
Staff was not super friendly or helpful. But then that's China.
Shuttle to the airport is convenient. There's one every hour and goes to both terminals. Takes about 5 minutes.
Overall, I would stay here again but only for one night.

The shuttle leaves opposite gate 6 on the arrivals level, Terminal 1. If you're coming in on an international flight, you'll have to take the cross over, which is quiet a long way. There is a hotel counter nearby gate 6, just to the right of the car rental companies, and information desk. The shuttle operates about every 30-40 min depending on the time of day

I got this for about AUD53 from hotel.com, not a bad rate for a hotel near Pudong airport.

You would not want to stay here for more than a night - in transit it is very far fro anything.

There is free wifi in the lobby, the security key is the hotel phone no which they don't tell you on arrival.

The shuttle was a older style small bus with cart springs so very jolting .

Staff typically abrupt but efficient Chinese-style.

Very basic room, but lcean and with small TV, and 2 bottles of water, plus basic tea making stuff. I didn't try the breakfast as I was off early to the Hongqiao airport, which you can get to by taking the shuttle back to the Pudong Terminal 1, and getting the airport bus no 1.

Room Tip: You don't get a choice except for non-smoking or smoking

The choice of this hotel in Shanghai Pudong Airport was to spend only one night (transit). The price was good ( RMB 350) and they offered free transfer. The arrival of my flight was 9:30 PM and because I did not know what time the shuttle would pass by Terminal 2 I decided to catch a taxi to the hotel. There are 10 minutes only and cost me 20 RMB (US$ 3).
The check in was fast and soon I was in room # 324 which was small room with two beds (one mediu size and one small size). The service of Wi Fi does not work in the rooms , only in reception where is located one computer connected to the network for use by guests.
The TV set was small, old style, with several channels in Chinese but only one in English, CCTV in English. Had no fridge or a closet for clothes (just a place to hang them) and not even a hairdryer in the bathroom. But for one night only was reasonable.
The next morning I woke up early (Jet leg) and decided to take the breakfast on the second floor, which was already included in the daily rate. If you're hungry you will find something to eat. The juice is terrible, coffee has a different taste and it is a lot of Chinese food to choose from. Because I would catch the plane in that morning I decided to take the breakfast at airport. The free transfer is schedule for every 30 minutes but it is always good to get the printed schedule with the reception personal to avoid mistakes.

This hotel is just ok and for the airport it's fine. Staff are very friendly, rooms are basic but what more do you need for a night close to the airport. Catch a taxi here though as if you try to train it, itll be hard to find coming from the city. Shuttle service is good

Reviewed June 15, 2012

I stayed at this hotel in June 2012 and paid about RMB350 per night. I arrived late (when do flights ever arrive on-time in China?) but check-in was fast, the room was pleasant and my sleep was solid. No complaints at all.

This hotel is about a ten minute taxi ride from Pudong Terminal 2; slightly closer to Terminal 1. The taxi fare was RMB14 -- the meter never changed! -- so I gave the driver a bit extra because he had waited a long time at the airport for a customer. There is a free shuttle, during the day, but it's almost always packed with other passengers.

The room was more than sufficient. While hardly glamorous, it was tidy, efficient and clean. They had CNN on the TV in English (yea!), the air conditioner worked, the window opened, they had wired internet, there was a luggage rack built in to the furniture, and they had a clever "open closet" (see photo, below) that I liked very much, because you can see in a glance if you have left anything on a hangar when you're checking out.

Special tip: to use the elevator, slide your room key into the slot on the left side of the elevator. I was so sleepy, i kept pushing buttons on the right side and never even noticed a second set of controls on the left!

Breakfast was a bit of a surprise. The second floor restaurant was bright, clean, and the food was delicious. Interestingly, they don't use meal tickets at this restaurant; you simply present your room key and they slide it through a slot, and presto the charge is added to your room (RMB15).

There's not much else to add -- there's no gym, no bar, no other amenities. But who cares? You're just there to change planes.

A good value and a good night sleep, that's all I was looking for.
