We were recommended Nanuku by a travel agent (Melissa at Fiji Vacations) and went with her advice without doing much research ourselves since it sounded perfect for our family of four (kids are ages 11 and 13).
The facilities are quite gorgeous and well maintained. The food couldn't be fresher or more delicious. There's plenty of non-motorized activities to entertain the kids, with easily accessible adventures to be had on the island. But it's the people of Nanuku that set this place apart from your typical 5-star resort. The people care about what they are doing and take pleasure and pride from providing outstanding service.
The kids were assigned buddies (from the hotel) who regularly invited our children to play pool, or go paddle boarding, or play volleyball, or make crafts from palm tress leaves and coconut shells. While we don't have younger kids, those who did were blown away (as was I as a bystander) by the tender and genuinely concerned and compassionate care the Nanuku staff gave their babies and toddlers, In fact, I've never really seen anything like it.
Also had a fantastic massage and scalp treatment at the on site spa. And want to give a big shot out of thanks to Lavenia, Macieu, and Jerry to caring for us as they did.
Highly recommend to families looking for a high-end resort that's not overcrowded, which excels at providing exceptional service and hosting kids!More
