Bula to all our new friends on Treasure !
We stayed 7 nights on Treasure in August 2012. Two adults and 3 kids in one bure which was perfectly fine.
Our kids had an absolute ball at kids club despite swearing they'd never go to kids club ! Ha ! They couldn't wait to sign up when the kids club drums were played. Even our 11 year old daughter who was probably the eldest kid in kids club that week, had a ball! Banana boat rides, snorkelling off the sand island, boat trips, fish feeding, turtle ponds, t-shirt painting, kidz spa, fashion parades, fiji show...... the list goes on. After the 2nd night dining with us, even our 2 year old, not officially old enough for kids club, was begging to go with her older sisters and for small cost, Lucy the babysitter took her every night and she LOVED it! Our three daughters just loved Treasure and especially Tui, Bola, Luci, Lucy (kitchen), Henry, Nemo, Ruby, Ama, Sovini (hair braids), Sala, Eroni. I can't say enough wonderful things about the kids club staff !
Our bure #28 was great. We had 2 adults, 2 kids and a cot and there was plenty of room because apart from the 2 year old having a nap in the middle of the day, (while mum or dad sleep/read on the hammock ouside) we never spent time there except to sleep/shower etc. Initially we had requested the sunset/water sports side of the island but we were so happy with our bure's location. Quiet, beautiful, and you could snorkell off the beach in front. Perfect while waiting for a tired toddler to wake from a long nap after a busy morning.
Two and a half months on, our girls are still talking about Treasure and asking/begging if we can go back next year. Not a single day goes by without our 2 year old asking 'are we going to Fiji today"?
We found the food & menu's were probably the only area of concern for us. However, there was plenty to eat, kids were happy, and I wasn't cooking so......... happy days.
I would recommend Treasure Island to anyone with kids, who isn't too precious, wants a great island experience, with gorgeous friendly staff, and is after a truely relaxing break.....
Thank you Scott, we had an awesome time and hope to come back soon !
Tell Tui that Kalani still has the shells he gave her !
