Oh what a place. Beautiful beach front bure (although very lucky not to stand on a broken bottle) but that was the only rubbish we found. Staff fantastic, cannot do enough for you. The bure was wonderful (admittedly have never been in one before so cannot compare) but we could not ask for more. Adults only, but you can walk along the beach to where all the 'little uns are"- and it was nice to head there some evenings for a change.
If you can afford it- we had helicopter from airport to resort, 10 - 15 mins, fanatstic, we had booked return to but the weather was bad so we travelled back via ferry, which was fine and we got our money back for the return helicopter ride. We were there in August and the weather was mixed, but we had no problems finding a hammock under the trees to watch the rain or sitting outside our bure. So relaxing, hope to go back one day.
We love to laze around without other people around, could just do with some plants/trees to give you more privacy when lazing around outside your bure.

Room Tip: We had room a good 5 minutes walk from reception/main area, which was great, dont hink any of them w...

As life at times, takes some unusual turns, and it had. I thought it would be great if my partner and I could take a few weeks to experience some time together in Fiji. We chose the Lomani as our first 'port of call'.
From the moment we were taken from the island dock, via the "limousine", to the Resort, we felt we had reached a magical and tranquil location.
The resort itself, was far beyond our expectation, from the discreet lighting, the outdoor shower and the sheer luxury of the fittings, we felt we were in another world.
The service we received from the Manager and her staff, was nothing short of warm and welcoming, even down to calling us by our first names, after the first night of our stay.
The food was great and it featured a daily blackboard menu, where we feasted on crabs and lobsters. The Cocktail Bar was excellent, and an array of interesting cocktails were always served with a warm smile.
On the day we left the island, we were serenaded by the staff - they sang the Fijian song of farewell.
We left with a promise to come back to the island, amid tears all round.
What a wonderful resort, made more so, by the warmth of the Fijian people.
We recommend Lomani to all, for all reasons. It is better than great.

Room Tip: You can't go beyond bure 14. It was so close to the water - and so inviting each morning to beg...

Where to start when our visit to Lomani was all-round amazing?

As soon as we arrived at Lomani, we knew we had picked a great resort, and it only got better.

The amazing warm, clear blue water off the lovely white sands at Lomani was beautiful for swimming and snorkelling. Lounging on the beach and around the freshwater pool was very relaxing. Trying out stand up paddle boarding and the glass bottom kayaks were fun activities.

The rooms were large and clean and had all that was needed for a holiday that was mostly spent outdoors in the hot sun. Modern bathrooms and a balcony were nice touches. The air conditioning in the room was a welcome relief on some of the hotter days.

I have seen a review on here that complains about the food at Lomani. I don't know what they are talking about! Breakfast had so many options, continental and cooked, all with tropical touches which was nice. Dinners were also nice, with food that was of bistro standard.
The buffet at the kava night was a highlight. Cocktails were on the expensive side however we did enjoy the few we had. Happy hour on Fijian beers each night was good value.

What really made Lomani a great place was the warm, friendly service of all staff. Their service was very personalized and added to the relaxing atmosphere.

Definitely a great break for couples. Very relaxing and romantic.

Thank you Lomani for an amazing week.

Wow, what a resort!

My wife and I had such an enjoyable time at Lomani last week for a few nights of our Honeymoon. We loved Malolo Lailai, the resort and the team…..a special mention to Vili on the Front desk and Pate who was always so polite and attentive in the Restaurant.

Tip - Dine on the beachfront. You need to book but it is so much better than dining in the Restaurant. Be honest, you can dine in a Restaurant anywhere but don't often get the chance to dine on the beachfront and be serenaded at the same time do you? We dined on the beachfront every night of our 3 night stay :) Mosquito rellent provided in the rooms - Take this to dinner to avoid being eaten......You must eat the Kokoda (traditional Fijian dish) which was the best we tried in Fiji!

We took our sun loungers down to the beach and enjoyed the beauty of the bay with hardly anyone else in sight!

A big "Vinaka" from New Zealand! We will be back one day :)

Our trip was for our honeymoon; we stayed 8 nights, (April 27 to May 5th); we were in the Hibiscus suite (#10).

PROS: No children, adults only, peaceful, quiet, superb staff, activities, rooms (include safe, fridge, in-room movie server, outdoor shower, sitting room). The breakfast options are wonderful. Lunch is great (but a little expensive if you just want a snack - so we split lunch out by the pool). Dinner is nice (but also a little expensive compared with nearby options). Have dinner by the beach at least once. The water sports equipment is great - make use of it before the tide goes out though.

Improvements: The bathroom toiletries are not worth a darn (soap, shampoo/conditioner) bring and use your own. (I used one bar of soap in two days and the shampoo left my hair greasy) The "deep tissue massage" wasn't very deep or impressive - my husband does better (glad this was included in the package). Service at the pool could have been better - our Bula button call was never responded to so we had to go to the restaurant for ordering (not a huge deal). Mixed drinks are expensive and there's no happy hour.

Tips: Go to Ananda's market for snacks & drinks and try their restaurant. Explore the other restaurant options on the island. Go para-sailing! Ask Kaci (the activities guide) to go snorkeling at Honeymoon island. Don't bother eating at Plantation - expensive and noisy buffet with mediocre food. Buy your souvenirs at Jack's at the Demarau marina (where you pick up the Malolo Cat).

Honestly, it was a fabulous vacation and we are so pleased we spent our special week at Lomani!

Room Tip: Hibiscus suite is a great value - stay in room 12 or 11 though - they are closest to the beach with...

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left - the only complaint we had (husband, daughter (16y) and myself was ' that we had to leave'.
The weather was as requested everyday (bar one) blue skies, sunshine the sea blue and clear, the food excellent, beachfront bure (aricondiitoned) with it's outdoor shower (causing constant arguments as to who gets to use outdoors as there is an indoor one as well) and privacy is of high standard.
Service : I do not believe to have received ever a better , friendlier service anywhere than in Fiji.
Fijian's are beautiful by nature - warm, welcoming forever smiling and nothing is too much or too hard. And I need to mention Leroy - wild bottlenose Dolphin - who did not disappoint his audience and put quite a show on , on our Dolphin Safari.
Loved the free use of bycicles to explore the whole island. Kayaking and snorkling, outdoor massage. We could do as much or as litlle as we wanted ( activities galore).
This is going to spoil the momentum but the reality is that we all like our contact to the outside world, so it was great to find out that Wifi is available for a charge (when travelling with a teenager-it is a lifesaver).

This resort offers a holiday experience of a high standard on many levels. The accomodation and amenities are wonderful. The staff are caring and professional. I chose this resort due to the number of positive reviews and I was not disappointed. The singing welcome and departure are unique and ensure that you feel very special. The decor in Beach Bures, restaurant, bar and foyer are modern and delightful.I loved the outdoor shower.
The meal plan available is excellent value and does not have exclusions as at some resorts and is also somewhat flexible. The resort offers romantic dinners on the beach and these are wonderful especially when serenaded by the resident singer.Dont miss the Cocktail party/Kava ceremony as it will give you the opportunity to get to know some other guests.
The inclusive activities at this resort were outstanding. The snorkelling went to a variety of destinations ( not to be missed even if you dont like snorkelling you will enjoy the boat ride and experience). The Dolphin Safari and village visit were also good. It is also possible to organise a surfing experience at a nearby island. We spoke to a couple who did this.
The pool is large enough to swim laps in and the daybeds around it are beautiful to spend time in.You can press a buzzer and order refreshments!
The double kayaks are comfortable with backrests and enable you to kayak a little further. We went out to the sandbar with two other couples and it was an exciting experience.
We also were at the resort when a couple were married out on the Sandbar. It looked like an absolutely amazing spot for a wedding! The photos would be exceptional!
The small shops at Plantation Resort and Musket Cove are well worth the walk.
The Pure Fiji products used at Lomani are gorgeous... loved the Pineapple infusions.
There is also a resident artist/wood carver who offers souvenirs of a high quality to purchase. He is there almost every day and you can talk to him and watch him work.
My husband was also very appreciative of the great collection of movies on the hard drive to watch in the Bures.
If you are organising transfers from Nadi it would be good to have at least a few hours to lunch and/or explore stores at Port Denarau.
This resort is one of the most friendly yet professionally run island resorts that we have encountered and it also promotes warmth and friendliness bteween guests as well.
Thank you everyone at Lomani! Well done! I hope to visit again someday!
