This resort is perfect for families wanting an extra value for their money. It is a great combination of fun and luxury. As I would possibly not recommend for exclusive honeymooners due to the inclusion of children, families and larger groups are to have a better experience with the many activities on offer. Staff were super friendly and we were well looked after. Major bonus was the food portions you really do get your moneys worth! Also, their home-made ice-creams are a must try!

Room tip: Villa Bure is private and could be shared with a Villa suite sleeping up to 4 guests.

Bula Daydream731341,

Thank you for your review and seeing the true value in what we offer on our beautiful island!

Honeymooners, families and multi-generational groups all enjoy the wonders of Malolo Island and depending on what time of year, will depend on the amount of children around the resort enjoying our Grow With Six Senses offering. As we are set over such a large area, it does tend to feel as though you are the only guest on the island, which does give that secluded feel!

Fijians are known to be generous with their food portions, and we are glad you found that our portions were well valued, we do most certainly put quality at the forefront of our minds when preparing our menus so it is great to see this is working well for our guests!

We do hope you are able to come back and visit our private lagoon and all the out of the ordinary experiences we have here.

Vinaka,

Fiona

After a long trip from the U.K. to Fiji via Melbourne, we were delighted to arrive at Malolo Island, a 35 minute boat ride from the port on the main Island of Fiji. Our lovely villa had a supremely comfortable bed, a nice living area and enclosed outdoor shower. We also had a little patio overlooking a plunge pool. Our villa was a short walk up from the beach. Our visit coincided with Cyclone Sarai so we were glad that the villa was sturdily built and we had the protection of trees surrounding us. Normally there are many activities at the resort, but due to the cyclone we were mostly villa bound. The friendly and accommodating staff did all they could to keep us comfortable, well fed and calm. The meals were delicious and we all enjoyed excellent spa treatments. We were most grateful to Fiona for arranging a helicopter transfer when the boats were still unable to make the crossing. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay enjoyable despite the storm.

Bula Susan G,

Vinaka vaka levu for your review, it was such a pleasure having you at the resort!

Although it was a shame to have TC Sarai in the neighborhood during your say with us, we are happy to hear that you found the villas to be of ultimate comfort - especially during the short period where we were kept indoors! Our villas are built to withstand cyclonic conditions, and our guest safety is of utmost importance during such events.

We are glad to have assisted with the helicopter arrangements for your departure, and do hope you had a wonderful experience at Blanket Bay!

We do hope to welcome you back in the future, hopefully with more sunshine on your next trip!

Vinaka,

Fiona and the Team

This beautiful resort has a potential to be great but lacks details of 5 star resort.
I would rate this place 4.25 star resort.

Pros:
-Our GEM (general experience manager) Tingi was very attentive.
-Friendly staffs overall.
-Great spa experience with professional staffs.
-Beautiful sunsets every night.
-BBQ night was my favorite dinner.
-Nice room and great cleaning service.

Cons:
-Too many flies everywhere. It’s impossible to eat food without coulple flies on your dish which is quite disturbing.
-We paid $480 for a boat transfer for 2 people which was fine but we shared a boat with their employees which made me feel like I’m in a shuttle bus and not getting 5 star hotel experience.
-They had a sushi and sashimi night and the food they provided was sub par supermarket made sushi which was really disappointing. It honestly tasted like if I made Fijian food which means chef had no idea of how sushi should taste like. Also please don’t call that cabbage thing kimchi as a Korean I cannot remotely relate the taste.
-I was relaxing by the pool and there were couple times staffs are spraying insect repellents for 30 mins which was really loud also another time staffs were mowing the lawn which was quite loud and distracting. I think they should be doing this early in the morning not middle of the day when people are trying to relax by the pool.
-It could have been great if resort was equipped with sun screen and have them available for public use since sun is really strong on this island.
-It could have been great if cold towels were available throughout the resort which I think other 5 star resorts usually provide.

Bula hkim5,

Thank you for your review!

Aren't we lucky to have such a fantastic team who are all very friendly, as is the Fijian way! We are glad that Tingyi was able to provide some attentive, personal service to you as your GEM throughout your stay with us.

We are sorry that the misting and fogging for mosquitos was disruptive for you, as we try and do this at the most optimum time of day when any mosquitos are active, which is late afternoon just prior to sunset. We also have a pest control programme for sand flies, flies, etc which is what the team are spraying for each day to allow for guest comfort.

We offer our shared/scheduled, and private/non-scheduled boat transfers, and allow a maximum of 4 Hosts per run with guests onboard for the scheduled transfers. We apologize that this felt more of a shuttle experience, and recommend guests book our private transfers, should they wish to be the only ones onboard with the boat captains.

Sunscreen is for sale at our Boutique as well as in the Wellness Village, with bottles available complimentary for guest use at Tovolea Bar. We will make this more prominent for our guests so that they know they are able to ask any of our friendly hosts for assistance in locating this.

We are constantly developing ourselves, and therefore truly appreciate the feedback you have shared with us.

We are glad that overall you had a memorable experience with us, and do look forward to welcoming you back in the future,

Vinaka,

Fiona

We absolutely loved our short stay at Six Senses Fiji and would certainly recommend this property to others. It really is the definition of 'bare foot luxury'.

Our ocean front villa was clean, comfortable and luxurious and fitted out with everything to make a stay homely and romantic: large private plunge pool, indoor and out door showers, an outdoor oversized bathtub, double vanity, king sized four poster bed with views of the ocean, his and hers wardrobes, safe, lounge area, impressive mini bar along with wine fridge and tea and coffee making facilities (nespresso). For those who need to stay connected there is a TV and super fast wifi. No old fashioned light switches in this room - everything from lights, to blinds to air con and fan at the press of a button. Impressive.

Also impressive is the Resort's commitment (wherever possible) to locally sourced produce, much of which comes from the Resort's very own nursery, herb gardens and orchards. They even have their own chickens (Cluckingham Palace!) and Bee Hives. Breakfast was a particular highlight - the creativity of the Six Senses breakfast has set a new benchmark.

There is so much to do you'd never get bored: world class surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling all within easy access. Hiking trails, yoga, spa, gym, library and so the list would go on. We wished we could have stayed longer to sample everything on offer.

Thank you to Frans and Fiona and the rest of the team. We had a great time!

Bula Tokoriki D,

Barefoot luxury is how we like to do things at Six Senses Fiji, and it is so great to read that you had exactly that experience with us! Our Villas and Residences are well equipped with everything you need for an island escape, with a few extra mod-cons to really spoil our guests.

Sustainability is part of our culture and is something that we continually develop as we go to ensure we are doing the best for our surroundings and at the same time giving our guests a truly unique experience. Cluckingham Palace is a favorite for the guests to collect fresh eggs in the morning!

We do have a wide range of activities, and a beautiful island to be explored, so please do come back and visit us soon as we would love to share our slice of paradise with you again!

Vinaka,

Fiona
