1. Guest experience manager(Sai) helped us to have the best holiday at Six Senses. He organized everything for us including daily schedule, activities and check out services. You just message your GEM if you need anything. I was super happy with exceptional guest service. Sai is incredibly helpful and friendly, and he is a perfect Person for GEM!

2. Beautiful private beach!! The view is absolutely beautiful, you have your private pool and the beach

3. Delicious and clean food. Breakfast is superb and each night has dinner theme as well. Fresh ingredients served everyday. Milk is served on a daily basis and fresh fruit infused water is out for everyone.

4. Everything is eco friendly, love all the beautiful decorations and I love how I felt like I was away from the city and being close to the nature!! So relaxing!!

I will start my review by saying that our trip to Six Senses came after 4 nights at Kokomo so my expectations for the stay might have been too high, but it certainly does not warrant a 5 star rating when compared to other properties in Fiji. Perhaps other reviewers haven't traveled around.
We booked a 3 bedroom marina residence. It was very disappointing. We did not unpack and asked to move or check out/get our money back. Marina is a misnomer. There is a canal and the only boats are the resorts 2, center console boats. So forget any kind of view of a lovely marina. I would not rent any marina view residence period. The residence was indeed awful. Main area had no AC. The villa slept 6 but had room for 3 to sit side by side inside on a futon in an awful color that looked like it came from Walmart. All of the bedrooms were accessed separately and were surrounded by dark wood shutters. So if you wanted AC (which only sort of worked) then you were blacked out. I'm talking a lot more than I usually would concerning AC only because we were there in March and it was so hot and humid. And it is a tropical island so I saw my first albino lizard in the bedroom and of course flying insects. There are no screens on the shutters so everything will get in including the heat.
Management quickly and efficiently moved us to a hilltop 4 bedroom residence with ocean view. The residence was beautiful and I appreciated the move, but ultimately I would not return. Each day the power in one of the bedrooms randomly went out for hours. TV didn't work. One bedrooms AC did not work. Never fixed. Shutters in the villa were again in play, which allowed in bugs and lizards and hampered AC effectiveness. I quit wearing makeup and drying my hair - pointless. When it rained you needed to shut everything up or else their lovely hardwood floors would be ruined. The residence pool was large and very nice - it was the selling point of staying there. And the furniture in this residence was appropriate (apparently they let the owners decorate however they would like). The kitchen is pointless because unless you brought over groceries from the mainland what are you doing with it (nothing much at resort to stock with)?
The dining at the resort was redundant. Fixed menu that was themed and changed at one restaurant and one other place to dine. It would be hard to stay here a week with the limited food options.
You need to be shuttled around in a golf cart due to the expanse of the resort. Our GEM served multiple other villas so the hype of the GEM is way overstated. And when it rains you get soaked on the golf carts (no plastic sides).
Beach was ok. There is construction and noise as others have pointed out.
The trip out to cloud 9 was the highlight of the stay. I will say the weather in rainy season on Malolo was much better than Kokomo.
We had an evening flight out and they graciously allowed us to use a Hideaway Pool Villa until our evening departure. The Villas were far nicer than the residences in furnishings and amenities so if you are going to this resort be sure to book a Villa, preferably a beach front.

Bula indytraveler23,

Thank you for taking the time to review our resort and share your experience.

As we discussed while you were on island with your family, our Residences are all unique and have their own individualisms which cater to the different needs of our guests. The Marina Residence was not to your liking and we were grateful to be able to assist in relocating you complimentary to one of our 4-bedroom Oceanview Residences.

With regard to the Kitchen in the Residences, our Residence guests are offered a grocery list to fill out for their stay with us, which means we can have the fridge and pantry stocked prior to arrival, this allows guests to cater for themselves, should they wish to.

Our Menus changes on a 3-monthly basis, and we complement our A la Carte menus with daily blackboard specials, as well as a variety of Theme nights for our guests to enjoy, otherwise our Chef's are happy to assist in catering toward all dietary requests.

We do apologize that you did not find our GEM service to be as expected. As a personal guide throughout each step of your stay, our GEM's do go above and beyond to make memorable experiences for all of our guests.

We note your comments on the construction and we are transparent with regard to the development of new Residences around the island, and therefore offer some generously reduced rates on Residences that are affected by neighboring or nearby construction - these offers are available directly through the resort.

We again want to apologize that your experience did not meet your expectation, and we do hope that should you be visiting the Fiji Islands in the future, you reach out so that we are able to show you are truly memorable experience.

Vinaka,

Fiona

My husband and I stayed at Six Senses Fiji for 7 nights in an ocean side villa. The whole resort and views of the ocean were breath taking. The staff are an absolute standout at this resort. They take the time to know your name and it wasn’t long until we felt like we were talking with our good friends… We loved that you could do as much or as little with your days as you wanted to. We participated in a few of the daily activities (such as learn to scuba dive, yoga, Kava ceremony, meditation) and they were all outstanding. We had two massages each at the spa and it was the most incredible experience. Highly recommended! The food was fantastic… my husband had the ‘crab omelette’ for breakfast every single day. We also particularly loved the themed nights for dinner as we were able to try so many cuisines. As we departed the marina on our final day, the staff sang the traditional goodbye song ‘Isa Lei’ and it’s a moment we’ll never forget. Thank you Six Senses Fiji! You captured our hearts and we can’t wait to return again!

What we can say but vinaka vakalevu for your 10 out of 10 review you have given to us. Your pick-list outlined above just shows what we have on offer - thank you!

You have become part of our Six Senses Fiji family, and our hosts will be super excited to read your comments. Maybe we should put our crab omelettes on a 'secret menu'! :)

Come home to visit your family at Six Senses Fiji soon.

My biggest fears about Fiji and Pacific Islands was the food and resort quality....both were laid to rest after the first day on Malolo. Firstly, the staff were the friendliest resort staff I have encountered in years. Competent, happy, anticipatory...simply a real pleasure and possibly the greatest asset this reaort has. Rooms were modern and stylish, beds luxe and comfortable. The chefs cooked amazing dishes and 'nothing' was too much trouble. Never once were we told No, or made to feel as if our request was a burden. Fresh seafood and tropical fruit abounds, we one would expect in a tropical island paradise. The beach was gorgeous, the sea warm and..very very clean. No rubbish was seen, vastly different to Bali and other such Asian resorts. The spa was amazing, not cheap, but the treatments were excellent and top quality. We brought young kids and the warmth and care from every staff member both front of house and rear, was a delight. Just great. I wish everyone could experience this..without ruining it for my next trip !
