When we checked in, there was a difference between what we thought we had reserved and what was reserved for us. Went down to the front desk and they accommoded us with a room type we had requested and than some. It was nice to work with two individuals that showed they cared. We have stayed at different Hilton Family of hotels on our previous trips to visit our son at Fort Benning and have enjoyed all of them. But, we will be staying at this Hampton every trip down here. With the clean rooms, pool and friendly people that work here, you can't go wrong.

Stayed here while visiting Ft. Benning, which is about a 15 minute drive across the bridge. It is in a good location, easy to get to and find, good rooms, nice beds, good breakfast bar. Quiet and well kept, nice service from the front desk going in and leaving. All in all it is what you should expect from a motel. However, the price does reflect the experience, paid $110 for a king room with sofa. But I'll be back

We stayed for 6 nights. Clean and attractive room and bath. Clean, comfortable beds with pillows of different firmness. Pleasant, attentive staff. Many choices for (complimentary) breakfast - eggs, bacon/sausage, breakfast potatoes, fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, 3 juices, good coffee, tea. (My only complaint was that the eggs were a little on the dry side.) A nicely equipped snack bar behind the front desk. Overall, couldn't ask for better accommodations for the price.

This is one of the newer Hampton Inn's, located just across the river from Georgia. Just sixteen minutes from Fort Benning and less than five minutes from the Columbus's Historic Downtown and Broadway; a good place to eat and browse. Like most Hampton's they have a better than average breakfast offering. Our facility was spacious, clean, and reasonable. We later stayed at a Holiday Inn in another town in Alabama that looked like a Hampton; even had the same bathroom furnishings. But the breakfast was not on the same level offered Hampton Inns.

I just finished staying here for 3 nights for business, and frankly this is a gem of a hotel! This is a superbly clean, nearly spotless hotel with excellent costumer service. I asked for a quiet room and was given a choice of being on the front of the building on a higher floor or on the back of the building on a lower floor. I chose the higher floor, even though it's closer to the nearby highway. Within 5 minutes after arriving in my room, I received a friendly call from the front desk, inquiring whether the room was satisfactory. I said it was, and thanked the person for the call. At the same time, I had a simple question about the air conditioning which the person courteously assisted me with. Even the person that set out the free breakfast was very nice and hospitable. And the front desk staff assisted me with splitting my bill into separate days, as I had to cost them to different accounts. Superb customer service here!

This hotel has a good free breakfast in the morning with a wide variety of choices beyond the standard ones: hot eggs and bacon; good oatmeal with nuts and dried fruit; 4 different choices of good coffee from bold to regular to decaf; fresh apples and bananas that are available all day, and nice yogurt on ice.

In addition, the hotel has a free bag of snacks that you can take with you, which includes an apple, a power bar, a muffin, a small box of candies and a water. This was an excellent addition, as sometimes my meetings ran late into the early afternoon, so these snacks were a welcome addition until I could get lunch.

Lastly, there's free beer and wine and sodas, along with a nice appetizer, which they set out each evening before suppertime. Not that many choices, but it's a wonderful idea and amenity.

Yes, the exercise room is small, and one of the treadmills was broken, but it had a good selection of weights and it was clean.

On the noise factor, you do hear a small amount of truck sound at night if you are on the front of the hotel, but it wasn't bad at all. I suspect the back of the hotel is probably a bit quieter, but in general this was not an issue.

Most importantly, I really like the hotel's policy of cleaning the entire bed covering, which many chains do not do. (They simply wash the sheets, but not the covering, at most chains.) Cleaning the whole bed covering really makes for a clean experience within a very clean room.

Internet wireless service in the room was pretty fast by regular hotel standards.

The hotel is in a convenient location, near Columbus, Georgia (which has some very nice restaurants and has a pretty downtown) and Fort Benning, which is where my meetings were. Being not far from the highway and the major roads made this place very convenient for me.

I really liked the small store just behind the front desk, where you could buy various food items at all times. A nice edition!

In summary, the place is clean, well managed, with excellent customer service, good location and very reasonable prices. The lobby is very modern and nicely designed. Parking was very easy.

It's a real find, so just stop searching and select this hotel !

Room Tip: I suspect that rooms on the back of the hotel are probably a bit quieter, as they are away from the...

So good to arrive to a friendly smile and efficient check-in. Then to find a clean cozy bed to crash into after a long hard trip. Quiet, with all amenities needed. The front desk is so helpful. Want to visit Phenix City just to stay at the Hampton. From California it's worth it.

Room Tip: Make Reynaldo your friend, he can be so helpful. Book in advance online. It helps with the check-in...

Large, comfortable one-room suite with sofa, coffee and end tables, two desk chairs and a desk, dresser drawer with 32-inch tv that can be watched from the sofa or bed. Comfortable (good sleeping mattress) bed with a nice, white comforter, a wet bar with refrigerator, microwave. I was really impressed with the modern breakfast and lounge area. Coffee bar available 24/7. Excellent evening reception with appetizers, beer/wine. Will definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Rooms on the back are quieter. Room 304 has a nice view at night, but is "sliightly" nois...
