First of all, the look of the place is nice. The big open fish tank in the middle is interesting. And the huge windows in the back are beautiful. The size of the place is a bit overwhelming with the acoustics not helping. It was a bit loud.

We had a group of 40 or so dining midweek during spring break. Our servers were friendly and helpful. The bread served while we waited for our foodwas really good.

Our table was a bit lucky - we got our food first. The others waited quite a bit longer to be served.

My grilled snapper was excellent. The cheese grits were good but the serving was huge. I also had grilled vegetables but they could have been cooked a bit longer. My husband had fried shrimp and thought they were good.

Others at our table had various items and most seemed to enjoy their selections.

We've been there 3 times , the service is bad, even though we had reservations they wouldn't sit us by a window although many were available and we had asked for it when we called. The waiters are untrained and the manager is very rude and uncooperative . Won't be back and we done out often and live in the area.

Listen- if you are used to New Orleans/Chicago/New York food, this place is it. Modern food, high quality beer/drinks, above average wine list. Very thoughtfully planned menu. If you are looking to sit in what is arguably the most beautiful restaurant you've ever been to, then this is it. Chihuly chandeliers, yes, that guy, knotty pine cathedral ceiling, 50 foot glass walls looking out over the bay, open air aquarium with puffer fish, sting ray, etc. honestly, this place is a work of art. In terms of aesthetics, it is very nearly unrivaled in my humble opinion. The service, like every other place down here is not at the same level as the food- this does not mean the servers are not nice, they are, they just aren't trained. However, this is the reality of the area. This caveat aside, this restaurant is amazing. (I was in the industry for nearly 15 years, including cutting my culinary teeth down here in LA for what it's worth.)

This was my first visit to the CG. We visit the area very often and have been waiting on the kinks to get worked out (as they need to be in every restaurant- no problem ) We went for Brunch on Sunday. I love the look of this place! The live fish tank in the middle of the room was nice. Our waiter was training a new employee so we had two servers. You would think double the service (NOT) We ordered coffee. The coffee was not hot and one cream each. We re-ordered coffee. It was not hot. Lots of time passed with no attention. We studied the menu carefully and ordered the "three egg omelet" it was NOT three eggs, not hot enough and not large enough for three eggs. The fruit is coated in sugar and the breakfast potatoes are very dry, no flavor. My water glass was chipped and cracked, never got that really good hot cup of coffee with the cream all at the same time. No manager visited our table during our meal. The view is spectacular and someone spent a lot of money on the renovations. I hope the service doesn't keep this place from being a success.
