The Wharf is a unique shopping / dining / entertainment destination. If you visit the Wharf, plan on eating at Compleat Angler. They have a diverse and large menu, so anyone in your group will find something they'll enjoy.

Service was professional and eager to please (as opposed to "laid back", but not annoying at all).

Our group had "lighter" choices for dinner (mostly sandwiches or salads) and everyone enjoyed their meal. The "lighter" dinner order meant, of course, we could have dessert! Key Lime pie and chocolate cake were very good. The bread pudding was also delicious, but should have come with a warning to share it because it was a massive portion.

When you review the menus from other restaurants at the wharf, Compleat Angler appears offer the best variety and value.

Food was good. Fried oysters and green tomatoes were very good. Tuna dip was way too salty. Redfish with Stevie nicks sauce was good as well. Very attentive staff and manager came by as well. Overall nice experience.

We went to the Compleat Angler Friday night after Thanksgiving when Cosmos and Villagio had 1 1/2 hour waits. The restaurant was not crowded (It was 5:30 p.m.) and the waiter took our drink order and we tried to get him to take our meal order because we had a two year old. The waiter wanted to take only the drink and appetizer order and turn it in before taking the meal order. Then we waited. The waiter dropped by a basket of bread but darted off before we could get him to take the meal order. The bread was the worst we had ever eaten--heavy, dense, and cold. At this point we started thinking that if they couldn't do any better on the bread--perhaps we should reconsider our options. The menu is enormous but no one really found anything appealing. At this point, after waiting 30 minutes for the waiter to take our order, we made a group decision to bail out. We ate here last year and found the foot mediocre and after Friday night's experience, I don't think we will be back.
