Description: In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention to detail of the service. In 1998 The Southern Restaurant Group took ownership of the restaurant with a commitment to maintain the same level of food quality and service. Since then, Louisiana Lagniappe has consistently served only the freshest seafood and steaks. Now open year round, Louisiana Lagniappe is the spot for a memorable dining experience on all levels. In 1999, a second Louisiana Lagniappe was opened in the San Roc Cay Shopping and Marina Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. Offering the same fine Louisiana seafood with a Creole flair, the attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.

“Nice restaurant, delicious food!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Great atmosphere right on the marina. Dimly lit and nicely furnished, this place brings a bit of elegance and offers something different from the casual seafood cafes. Louisiana Lagniappe was chosen as a date night for my husband and me on our last vacation to Orange Beach. The menu was impressive and very delicious. The wait staff was very friendly, accommodating and efficient. When our food arrived, it looked as delicious as it tasted. No complaints at all, Louisiana Lagniappe was a great choice!

“First time but not the last”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We have been hearing about this restaurant since we bought a place in Orange Beach. Finally got it together to go. We were there early (about 6 on a Saturday night) due to our small children, but by the time we left it was absolutely packed. Lots of kids, though the ambiance is more upscale than a typical family place. We had terrific lobster Rangoon appetizer along with the complimentary hush puppies. Grouper Pontchartrain was spectacular, with a huge soft shell crab on top. My wife had a Meniere preparation that was spectacular. Wish we'd had room for dessert, but no chance! This is among the best 2 or 3 meals I've had in Orange beach along with Cosmos and Fishers.

“Needs a remodel”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

We went in with friends. For a fine dining restaurant, this place doesn't fit the bill. Food was average. Facility is worn and aged. Carpet old and musty. Really needs a remodel.

“Best food food in Orange Beach”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

This place is fancy and expensive, but, the food is the best you will get. My wife had the Maine Lobster and they were large and great. I had the Shrimp Etouffee. We live close to south Louisiana so we have traveled all over the bayou's to eat. I have never had better Etouffee. The grandchildren had chicken strips and liked them. It is expensive for us as I am working class and my wife stays home to raise the grandchildren. But this was our vacation and we splurged this meal. It was worth every penny. When we go back next year, we will save and go again. The staff was always there to help you. Eat here and you won't regret it.

“Excellent experience”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

This was our first trip to the Gulf Shores area and was surprised how hard it was to find dining on the water. Glad we found this place. It was our last night in Orange Beach and we wanted to end our stay on a high note with a special dinner. Louisiana Lagniappe delivered. The service was great(loved our waiter) and the food was excellent. It wasn't cheap but we don't mind that once in awhile. I've already sent a couple of friends there that were heading down shortly after we returned.
