Description: In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention to detail of the service. In 1998 The Southern Restaurant Group took ownership of the restaurant with a commitment to maintain the same level of food quality and service. Since then, Louisiana Lagniappe has consistently served only the freshest seafood and steaks. Now open year round, Louisiana Lagniappe is the spot for a memorable dining experience on all levels. In 1999, a second Louisiana Lagniappe was opened in the San Roc Cay Shopping and Marina Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. Offering the same fine Louisiana seafood with a Creole flair, the attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.

“Good food but limited selections and a little pricey.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2011

The food was good, but a limited menu. We had 4 teenagers dining with us and it was tricky finding something that was not JUST seafood and creole (I know LA is in the name - I guess we just expected some other choices). Service was good and it was a nice atmosphere on the water. A little pricey.

“Excellent in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2011

Food was DELICIOUS! Most restaurants on this are that we have been to were good but this one was truly excellent. Service was great. You are missing out if you don't go here.

I ordered the blackened grouper and my husband ordered the pontchatrain grouper. Both dishes rocked!

“Wonderful Atmosphere & Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2010

My husband and I wanted a nicer restaurant for our anniversary dinner while we were in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. We had always heard great things about Louisiana Lagniappe. The restaurant and atmoshpere were great! Situated in San Roc Cay with all of the boats at sunset was beautiful! My husband had the Stouffed Grouper in parchment paper and I had their Shrimp & Grits (one of my favorite southern specialties!). Both meals were great! The grouper had a crab & shrimp stouffing and my shrimp and grits were the best I had ever had (warning - very spicy!). They had a nice drink/wine list and overall, we would definitely go back again.

“If you don't eat pork or crustations...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2010

If you don't eat pork or crustations, this is not the resturant for you. Every fish menu item was combined with a crustation of some type. Atmosphere and service were really enjoyable. Back bay waterfront view with just the right dinner time lighting. Nice wine list. The hushpuppies are incredible.
