“Great seafood and fried chicken, not a great value on the fried shrimp meal...”
Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

My family got the burger, fried chicken, fried shrimp, and a super dinner (with several types of seafood). Everything was DELICIOUS, as I sampled everybody's food. The value of the chicken and burger was good (less than $6 per dinner). The super dinner was $20 which is kind of high but it did come with a lot of food. My only complaint is that I ordered the small shrimp dinner for $14 and it only came with 6 pieces of shrimp! If it hadnt been for my sides and sampling my husbands food, I would have left hungry. Other than that, great food!!

“Consistantly good”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Always go to Doc's while in Gulf Shores and has been consistant every time. For dinner, be patient because they are usually very busy. But all the best places are very busy. Great fresh seafood entrees. I ordered the fried chicken on my last visit which was very good also.

“Disappointed!”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

We tried this place based on recommendations from Trip Advisor, but we found the place to be very loud, tables were messy. Small place, we were seated in back room and area was crowded and the bus boy carts were right next to walkway. I had really hoped for some good fresh fish, the menu is basically 3 pages, fried shrimp, fried fish, fried oysters. NO fish selection they only serve one kind catfish(saltwater), it was OK but, nothing special. Oysters were good, but really how hard is it to shuck some. Tea tasted like water and I had to make my own cocktail sauce. I didn't feel that the place was very clean, and you definitely were not required to shower before showing up for dinner. Not impressed, would not recommend.

This small little place is nothing special from the outside, but the friendly service and best seafood on the area makes it a must stop whenever in the area.
