My wife and I stopped at Eat for lunch. Food is served cafeteria/buffet style and is all-inclusive AYCE for...$10! There were several entrees. Since the portions were not overly large, I had country-fried steak and meat loaf, with white and brown gravy respectively. Very yummy comfort food. Unlike a lot of wallpaper-paste-type white gravies, theirs was rather light and very tasty. My wife had seafood creole - which had a nice spicy kick and jambalaya. She was very pleased. We also sampled the cajun pasta, which was good, but not exceptional. Sides included mashed potatoes, green beans and mixed veggies. There was also an adequate salad bar. Desserts included chocolate bread pudding and cherry cobbler. Remember...this is AYCE. I don't know how anybody could avoid the temptation to overdo it a bit.
Service was extremely friendly and attentive.
The $20 tab for our two lunches included tax - which, I believe is 10% around here. Really good food for a tiny bit more than the fast food joints charge. No wonder so many locals come here!
The menu changes daily. We will definitely come back!
