“Wow! What a Bargain!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

My wife and I stopped at Eat for lunch. Food is served cafeteria/buffet style and is all-inclusive AYCE for...$10! There were several entrees. Since the portions were not overly large, I had country-fried steak and meat loaf, with white and brown gravy respectively. Very yummy comfort food. Unlike a lot of wallpaper-paste-type white gravies, theirs was rather light and very tasty. My wife had seafood creole - which had a nice spicy kick and jambalaya. She was very pleased. We also sampled the cajun pasta, which was good, but not exceptional. Sides included mashed potatoes, green beans and mixed veggies. There was also an adequate salad bar. Desserts included chocolate bread pudding and cherry cobbler. Remember...this is AYCE. I don't know how anybody could avoid the temptation to overdo it a bit.
Service was extremely friendly and attentive.
The $20 tab for our two lunches included tax - which, I believe is 10% around here. Really good food for a tiny bit more than the fast food joints charge. No wonder so many locals come here!
The menu changes daily. We will definitely come back!

“Great Buffet”
Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

Quality buffet with well prepared food. We normally get the $10 all Inclusive lunch, drink and desert. Chris does a good job with this place. Would recommend it to anyone.

“Very good food”
Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

They have a good selection of food. Buffet style only. Very high end meats and sides but not a high end price. Loved the sirloin. We will back on our next trip to try the seafood buffet.

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Following Tripadvisor recommendations we tried "Eat". It was great. The hostess greeted us right away and explained their buffet set up. We usually avoid buffets but this was an exception. It is a different type of buffet. You choose the items you'd like and the chef plates the meal for you. All the food is behind glass which keeps liitle hands from touching the food and keeps the serving area much cleaner. There was a large assortment of seafood, prime rib and vegetables. They also had all you can eat crab legs. Some of the best crab we have had. It is cooked on demand which makes it sweeter and very tender. The meal price includes salad, the buffet, beverages, dessert and taxes. They serve lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday The restaurant is a little out of the way but worth the trip. We will be back.

“Our Meals Were Just Ok”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

After all of the wonderful reviews of Eat we recently decided to give this restaurant a try. We went on a Thursday and had the seafood buffet. The place was empty. The buffet was $22 per person but this included drinks, dessert and tax. For an extra $7/person we were told we could have had crab legs added on. The chef/owner brought us out a plate of specially prepared oysters which were great, and we are not big oyster fans. This was by far the best dish. The rest of the food on the buffet was just so so. The fired shrimp were a bit greasy and the fish was pretty bland. The crab cakes had too much bread crumbs in them and had a fishy taste. The beef dishes were overcooked, and one of these was done Chinese style and served with mushy broccoli which was pretty awful. The prime rib was ok, but it was also overcooked and bland - maybe because they kept dunking each slice in a bucket of au jus before putting it on our plate. The bread pudding was good. The Chef and the staff were very nice and helpful. Maybe we were there on an off night, but it was not worth the price we paid. Perhaps this would be a better deal for lunch which they serve for around $10.
