“Beautiful place to stay”
Reviewed November 4, 2013 via mobile

This place is very upscale with nice facilities to meet all your needs. It's right on the beach and we especially loved the views from all the balconies. Everything was clean and made me feel like I was home. The security and the parking deck made me feel safe and kept the car from getting hot so that was nice. When you live in the south, you appreciate a car that's not hot. We had a great time and will definitely stay here again.

Phoenix IX room 1009 is sharp and clean with a lot of space.
Overall a great vacation spot. Great beach and great indoor facilities if it rains.
Here's what prevents a perfect stay:
Not facing beach there was a LOT of road noise reflected into the unit when the patio door was open. We spent most of our daytime in the beach chairs we rented but would prefer the option of opening the doors to hear the surf.
Inside: furnishings and kitchen appliances were nice. Space utilization was a little funny with wide halls and 2 over-sized rooms with gigantic closets (it would be a nice place to live but its an odd layout for rentals). Kitchen was relatively large with a great bar. Washer/dryer was adequate but a nice thing to have.
Downsides: King bed was very soft. Queen bed was squeaky and noisy. Kitchen was a little under equipped and had zero measuring utensils.

Other downside is twice staying at a BR managed place where the foldout wasn't able to be used until after a repair or provision of sheets. Check that if you plan to use it while the office is open.

I'll come back, but would leverage not-beach facing for a lower rate.

I just got back from my stay at Phoenix IX on the Alabama Gulf Coast. I have stayed in numerous accommodations on the Gulf coast and Phoenix IX is one of the best and my new favorite. We stayed in unit 503. This is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom unit with very nice furnishings. A nice kitchen with granite countertops, great appliances, plenty of counter and cabinet space. A living/dining area with floor to ceiling glass overlooking the gulf. The built in wet bar with ice maker was a nice touch. We rented this unit through Brett/Robinson Vacations. Since these vacation rentals are individually owned, furnishings can vary from unit to unit. With Brett/Robinson, they give you pictures of the inside of each individual unit so you know what you are getting before making a reservation. The check in process was on site which was fast and easy. I will be back again next year and will rent through Brett/Robinson!

Room 707 at the Phoenix IX was exceptional! We have stayed at the Phoenix IX on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Stainless steel appliance, granite and tile adorn this beautiful 2 bedroom condo. Phoenix IX also also has indoor and outdoor pools along with and indoor tennis court which allows extra activities if the weather isn't pleasant outside.

We have stayed at Phoenix IX the past 5 years during spring break and back again for end of summer vacation. We have chosen this facility not just because of location but its cleanliness. It is a wonderful facilty equipped with indoor, outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, fitness center etc. It is a well maintained facility and the staff actually interact with you. If you are in the elevator or by the pool, they spark a conversation with you and want to make sure you are pleased as their guests. Our unit has always been freshly prepared for our arrival. As a mom, I like to make sure my family is well fed during vacation and they provide all you need to feel like you are in your own kitchen. It makes vacation easy. Booking thru BrettRobinson has always been a pleasure with no issues at all. The oversized laundry rooms in the condo makes my life easier as we return home allowing me to do all laundry before leaving. I love coming home and just having to unpack and put clothes back in the drawer instead of creating mounds of laundry. I hope this review helps someone else in their decision. It is a fabulous place to stay.

Room Tip: We love unit 906: It has the most comfortable couch. You can also get a better view of the dolphins...

We were quite pleased with our vacation rental in the Phoenix IX condo complex. The building's amenities were quite nice and the beach was fantastic. The weather could be on the chilly side some mornings while we were there (early April) so the indoor pool was nice. The outdoor pool and gulf were on the chilly side into the afternoon, but we welcomed laying out in the sun on a warm day.

If you can, try to get a unit overlooking the gulf. We were on the 11th floor and were surprised by the road noise that we could hear at night with the sliding door open. Also, the indoor tennis court is on the 12th floor so if you're sensitive to noise you might want to check to see if you're beneath that area of the building.

Room Tip: Look for a unit on the gulf side of the building.

My family of sixteen stayed in two condos next to each other in July. Everything was clean, beautiful, and as discribed.Geat view if the ocean, and we were across from a well maintained indoor pool. The pools, grills, and tennis court were great. We felt safe and the staff was curdious. I believe that this is one if the best property's in Orange Beach.
