“Best fried seafood ever!!”
Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

My family has been going to Wolfs Bay Lodge for probably 40 years. It's fried seafood is amazing and the salad bar's homemade salads are mouth watering. Just be careful you don't fill up completely on those before your main meal. We used to have to drive 45 min to their old location on wolf's Bay, but fire destroyed the old lodge and now their new spot is a lot closer. And the marina can be lively with boats weighing in their fish at Zekes landing. Favorite dish is fried shrimp and scallops!

“Good food, generous portions”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

We happened upon this restaurant by accident. It is on a harbour so ask for a good view table. We sat inside but outside looked nice, too. Two guys had the combos, shrimp and scallops on one and shrimp and oysters on the other. Both were very happy with their meals. One person ordered the special, prime rib and lobster tail. Prime rib was tasty but not a dish she would order again. I had the grilled grouper and steamed vegetables. I also upgraded to the Ono Salsa Preparation but would not recommend that. The grouper was good not great. Each meal comes with a side and 1 trip to the salad bar. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh items and was delicious. Service was very good.

“Excellent casual seafood restaurant”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Hidden gem. It is behind a strip of shops facing the road. We were fortunate to be seated on the outside patio with a view of the marina. Very relaxing. Our server was quite charming and attentive. We ordered the "natural" margaritas - wow, you have to try these homemade wonders. Made with lemon and lime juices instead of sweet and sour mix they are awesome! We ordered 3 appetizers - crab rangoon was AMAZING, the Cha Cha dip was fantastic (with large pita chips), and the lobster bisque incredible (large chunks of lobster). Dinner came with a trip to a small salad bar that was fairly uninspiring. Our party had a variety of food, all of which was really good. A local specialty was probably lowest on the food chain surprisingly - the royal reds were peel and eat shrimp, which were just ok, not inspiring. All the other shrimp dishes were really good, fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, and especially the coconut shrimp were wonderful! The crab alfredo was fantastic (with the accompanying homemade roll). Most dinners came with a choice of potato as well. Too full for dessert! Totally worth going, would visit again in a heartbeat.

“Wanted to like it a lot more, but...”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We ate at the marina restaurant here our first night in town, and the marina comings and goings were a lot of fun to watch. The food, we wanted to really love, but it was just okay. I had fresh grilled grouper and hubby had blackened snapper and they were good, but a little pricey not to be outstanding. The waitress seemed like she was trying to be pleasant but must have been having a bad day, and even though we'll be back to watch all the marina activity, we may wait to eat elsewhere. GREAT gift shop, though; worth a special trip.

“Horrible Service ...ok food”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We went here while we were looking for Shaggy's and it is now closed so we were told this place was good. We sat outside and while it is a great view of the harbor, the waitress only came to our table twice. We had to ask for our food after about 20 minutes and my husband had to ask another waitress for a water refill. Our kids did not get all of their meal and we had to ask for their side of fries many times. My chicken salad sandwich was great but everyone else in my family hated theirs. Won't be back because of the food and poor service. Best part was talking to locals beside us about activities and food in the area. They were very friendly and informative.
