“Great Stay, Great Location”

We stayed for 3 nights in unit 420 which is nicely decorated & just the right height. Our 10 year old loved the bunk area, but suggested adding a small TV. We never used the pullout couch, grill or kitchen, but it seemed well equipped (Lots of restaurants to walk to) It was nice to have a dryer for our pool towels (bring your own) because we went to the fabulous Oasis pool every day. We had to drag the kids away for dinner! Shuttle only runs on Sat/Sun in off-season, but we found it easier to drive. Parking was kind of a pain, since check-in/out is on 2nd floor, assigned parking on 3rd floor, and unit on 4th floor! If you're lucky you can park on the street below.
Only suggestion for this unit is please put up curtains (not just blinds) in Master bedroom because of lights from hallway and add a second mirror somewhere so us ladies can put on our makeup while the bathroom is occupied.
We brought our bikes and really enjoyed the Backcountry Trail, which has an entrance at the back of the nearby soccer fields. We also played golf at Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club and the greens were in great shape!
We had a fantastic weekend and can't wait to come back!!

We came here on Friday sept 27 left on Sunday the 29th. Hubby and I with 8 yr old grandson! Made reservation right on the phone Thursday got a 1 bedroom unit 606. Perfect unit no complains. Having rented condo's over the yrs I already knew to bring toilet paper, shampoo, dish soap, the starter pack in condo are just there for there one use only till u get more. Check in was a breeze, since we got there late Friday got the code for lock box on the door to get key out for room. On Saturday went to office at 9 then off to the oasis. This is very nice pool area! We were there from 10:30 to 6:30. U can't bring any food or drink, which that shouldn't be, the shuttle from hotel to pool area ran from 10-5 but pool stays open till 8 so u will have to walk back and we did with no problem. It's about 2 football fields long but the view is real nice, but I'm sure during the summer it might be to hot. And the shuttle must run all day. The light show at night was pretty nice. Hubby and grandson ate at the villiago rest. Said it was real good. We all ate at the compleat angler, got the 6 shrimp and small serving of grits and nothing special there, grandson got Mac and cheese with fruit on side it was ok, hubby got the seafood platter, and he said it was ok. I think we will be back to see for the summer but this weekend was awesome to try the wharf out. Maybe 50 people in pool all day and water was great. They do need more umbrellas is that is all they have for summer.

We stayed in a luxurious 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that sleeps 6, owned by friends. Other condos are available for daily or weekly rent (the ones I saw ran from $150 - $205 per night, and well worth it). Many condos have balconies overlooking the intercoastal waterway with boats and yachts big and small to drool over. We saw birds and dolphins every day. Security is good, with a locked door on the street level. Free parking was appreciated and we didn't need the car until we wanted to drive to the beach which was about 5 minutes away. The Wharf is a one-stop resort destination in beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama. There are several restaurants along a palm tree lined main street and two side streets, along with cafes, bars, small shops, clothing stores, Build a Bear shop, teen club, Wharf rental offices, yacht sales, and real estate offices. Add a 10,000 seat open air Auditorium (Three Dog Night and Little River Band are scheduled for October), a movie theater, and a nearby convention/event center, you could spend a while here and never be bored. It was rainy the weekend we were here, so we didn't use the pool, but we drove by and were very impressed; it's called the Oasis and is one of the largest pool areas I've seen, with water features, lazy river, with food and drinks available when it's open. The Wharf also has the largest Ferris Wheel in the southeast, but no one was on it during the rain. Each palm tree is covered with LED lights which were used in a fantastic laser light show every evening we were there, rain or shine. Don't know if this was part of the Wharf's 100 Days of Summer events, but it was an amazing show set to music. Children and adults were dancing in the street (closed off for the light show) with trivia contests and little light-up souvenirs given out. There are many benches along the street, and restaurant seating, so it wasn't too hard to get a good seat for the show. This was a very enjoyable mini family reunion and we could not have picked a better place with something for everyone!

The Wharf sucks people in with there nice pool area, but don't be surprised if its closed. One day there was lightning in the area around 6:00. It lasted 30 minutes or less. They closed the pool for the whole night. Worse, the following day there was lightning around 4:00. It lasted about 15 minutes. The pool was closed for the rest of the day. It is supposed to be open until 8:00.

We stayed here for 4 nights and was just in ahh. They have a nightly light show that can't be described, they close the street down and street dance durning the show. Kids both young and old can and will have a ball. Our room had some great views. The swimming pool area was even awesome. We had spent a afternoon here in which we love the large lazy river. The swimming area is not right on site but is just down the path, in which you can take the trolley or drive and of course you can walk also. Awsome place.

We are from Louisiana and let me just say that after staying 6 nights I did not want to leave come Sunday. I could have stayed another week and would have loved every minute of it. First day to Orange Beach we checked in. The condo was amazing, our was a 2/2 on the 8th floor. All furnished with icemaker in kitchen, gas stove, huge refridgerator a master bath that had a jacuzzi tub and beautiful granite counters. The master bedroom had a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom had two queen size beds although to me they were a little smaller than queen, but no big deal. Plenty of room throughout. The nightime view from our FRONT balcony was amazing. So pretty are the palm trees that line the street leading up to the condos. They have lights on them that change color constantly and are really pretty. They had a laser show everynight and music. The DJ was fun and would interract with the crowds. We had our sixteen year old daughter with us and she loved going with her friends to the Teen Club and Laser Tag. There is even an Arcade, movie theater, ferris wheel, carnival complete with funnel cakes, fried oreos, fresh lemonaid and carousel among other rides.

.Amazing!! The restuarants are incredible. We ate at the Villagio on the corner and we ordered the bone in ribeye. Let me tell you that is the best ribeye you could ever want. Our waiter was the best too! And you have to check out the Sugar Shack, they have all kinds of treats like ice cream, trouffles and more. Shopping was just as fabulous! Great shops and something for everyone! ALL AT THE WHARF IN WALKING DISTANCE. YOU DON'T EVEN NEED YOUR CAR. We went to the beach on Tuesday and it was just a short drive there. (7 MINS TOPS) Beautiful white sand and pretty water. Once back at the condo we checked out the Oasis pools and lazy river and let me tell you this was nothing short of PARADISE!! It was clean, all the pools are beautiful and the lazy river was so nice and tranquil. I wish we could have had the chance to go more than once there. Give me that over the beach anyday but thats just me. Just remember the Wharf pretty much has everything you need, except you will want to bring your own dishwasher/dishwashing soap, your own toilet paper and paper towels, a small broom and dust pan, salt and pepper and your own food and trash bags. Other than that you are set!! YOU WON'T REGRET STAYING HERE!!! Beats going all the way to Pensacola are Panama City Beach anyday!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying in unit 509 @ The Warf in Orange Beach Alabama. The experience was wonderful. The unit was on the 5th floor and near main street. You can literally walk out on the front balcony and enjoy the laser show and enjoy the nightly music fun. An added bonus, on the back balcony overlooking the intercoastel waterway, you can also see and hear the outdoor performance of the nightly amateur singers, pickers from the Complete Angler restaurant. Very well appointed unit. You wont need to bring anything with you, it is all there for you. The stove/oven is gas by the way. A wine chiller, a dedicated under counter ice machine a 20cuft refridgerater, toaster, wifi that actually works, and a big gas water heater so you dont run out of hot water. The patio furniture is nice and heavy, not the cheap stuff. The gas grill is nice and heavy duty as well. I didnt use it his trip as we had decided b4 hand we wouldnt cook on this trip. The icing on the cake is the friendlinest and ease of working with the owner. She is down to earth and is appreciative of you renting her unit. You wont be disapointed. You can literaly not pick your keys up until checkout time. There are small shops in the complex, bars, PLENTY to eat and a wayerpark. They have a small shuttle that runs every 15 minutes that picks you up on main street and takes you to the waterpark. It is limited to the guest of The Wharf.
Excellent choice for families with kids that want to just get wet!
