When it busy during season and events in the area, avoid Cobalt if you're local and have a choice. Food is great, place is massive. Outdoor dining is divine. Love the open kitchens, wood fired items and brunch.

I had a delicious filet and my husband had blackened red fish that was equally tasty. We also enjoyed a spicy shrimp appetizer. We were part of a banquet so our service was very good.

We went here for the first time last year and had a very nice lunch. We decided to go back again this year. We were disappointed that we couldn't sit outside again, but it was just too cold and windy. We sat at the bar instead and watched Georgia beat Florida :)

We started off with the sauteed crab claws. They had a great flavor and plenty of broth to soak up with bread. I had the lobster penne pasta that was super creamy and had lots of nice lobster chunks in it. My husband had the shrimp fra divolo pasta with lots of shrimp in it and said it was also very good.

We were so stuffed when we left, but I did purchase a yummy cupcake on our way out. Don't miss the bakery.

We were there again for lunch and did not have a wait. I can't speak for the dinner hour.

A little hideaway nestled under the Perdido pass is an excellant resturant that features scrumptous food and a relaxing setting surrounded by palm trees. We had the catch of the day which was the Blackened Mahi Mahi and it was flakey and very well prepared. But when you have finished dining you can enjoy watching the sting rays in their pool in the lobby or take home some of the best bake goods that you can find here on the Gulf. I particularly liked their chocalot peanut butter fudge.

We were just in Orange Beach and tried Cobalt - it is our new "favorite" in OB. The menu is extensive and everything we ordered was wonderful. The atmosphere is terrific - very large and open but quite cosmopolitan. Favorites were the Grilled Shrimp with Grits and the Pineapple Mojito. They also have a great bakery with cupcakes and cookies that we took home for snacks and breakfast the next day. If you can go to only one place in Orange Beach, I'd recommend Cobalt!
