We stayed here with our son's baseball team for 7 days. The hotel was perfect for our family. We had a suite with a balcony - loved that! The staff is top notch. Starting with Marlo who was extremely friendly and helpful while helping me book 14 rooms. Once the team arrived the kindness and efficiency kept on coming. Karen was so kind to let us use the common area to set up dinner to feed our baseball family of 50 people. Every staff member always asked if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay. The rooms were great, the pool area a good size and not too crowded. Lots of choices at breakfast. The beach was close by and they would pick you up to make the trek that much shorter. Once again, the staff is what makes this a great place to stay. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: For a nice relaxing view ask for a suite with a balcony overlooking the water.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a little excursion of visiting places along the Gulf Coast. We have never been to Gulf Shores, as we always visit the Carolina beaches. This was a nice place, the hotel was nice and clean and although not located directly on the beach, the shore is just a short walk away. The hotel does have a golf cart "shuttle" that will take you up the street but you have to cross a busy intersection on foot. The walk is short and my kids are old enough to help carry things, but if you have young children you may need a few extra hands. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly (as was everyone in Alabama) The hotel pool is nice and is a nice break from the beach. You can walk to some stores and a yummy yogurt place is close. Lots of things to do are nearby (food, shopping and mini golf--mini golf is a must for us) Our next trip to Gulf Shores will probably end up being a condo rental for a week, but for a couple days stay, this place was good!

We stayed the week of May 22, 2012. We read most of the reviews...after staying we really don't understand the negative reviews. We stayed on the 5 floor facing the back of Wal-Mart. We never heard the trucks coming and going. The room was very quite. We even had a room with a partial view of the ocean. This hotel is not on the beach but that was not an issue with us...we preferred not to be. The entire staff was excellent. They made our stay a lot of fun. Karen and Michael at the front desk..always gave us great information. We spoke to them everyday and they were always happy to assist us with our many questions. Marlo hooked us up on all the golf courses and were to play. Chris the breakfast server would see me and have my glass of ice ready. The personal service we received from everyone was first class. We generally stay with Marriott but this hotel is one of the best. We are already talking about our trip back next year!

Room Tip: You can request a room with a partial view.

The hotel is awesome and the staff personally make sure your stay is uneventful. I stay at Marriott's when I travel and this hotel ranks among the best. My family enjoyed our stay. The beach is not far from the hotel and the staff will give you a ride on a multi seated golf cart to Beach Rd. From there it is a short walk. The location of the motel is in walking distance of the Winn-Dixie and Wal-Mart. Also a ice cream shop is almost in the front door.

This is a nice, pleasant, well maintained Fairfield with a friendly and helpful staff. It is not on the beach but rather a short walk of about a block and a half from it. The hotel offers a free shuttle via golf cart that will take you about two thirds of the way (you walk the rest of the way on a boardwalk). The hotel is fairly expensive for a Fairfield, but probably a bargain as Gulf Coast resort town properties go. We would definitely be willing to stay at this hotel again.
