After being recommened here by a friend i went here for lunch. The staff greeted us at the door very kindly. We were immediately poured ice water after being seated. My friend had this thing called the lunch box which we were told is a daily changing special. It had a great soup, a salad, and an amazing crab cake. I got the blackened shrimp tacos off the lunch specials. The food was out quick and was delish! The entire staff was so friendly it made it such a great experience! I will definately be back!

This is the worst place I have ever eaten in the Gulf Shores area! I dont understand when people say its a good value...$32 bucks for a steak is not a good value, especially when it tastes like crap. The grouper was not grouper, tasted like river drum. Not to mention service was terrible, we were the ONLY ones in the place and it was 40 min after we ordered before our food arrived. Out of ranch dressing, gave us an empty bottle of A1, and I suspect the cocktail sauce was being "reused" due to finding a large piece of onion in it. Water glasses stayed empty the greater part of the meal. Just a terrible experience all around. Save your money and go somewhere else!

It was a 5 course extravaganza for a good cause "One Hope Wine Dinner." Hosted by Marcie Kinsey with Pinnacle Imports all the wine poured with each course was One Hope Wine, every bottle donates half of the profits to a different organization. Spicy Shrimp Soup was the 1st course paired with Sauvignon Blanc, perfectly spicy and with that distinctive "seafood" flavor. Then it was on to Grilled Cobia with Citrus Compound Butter over Angel Hair. The fish was tasty but over cooked and dry, the pasta had a delicious flavor and the butter needed to be softer to be functional. Plate cleanser followed, Lemon Gelato with Brut Sparkling and onward to 4th course which was excellent, a herb marinated beef tenderloin with parmesan peppercorn sauce and pearl couscous. The 5th and final course a Ice Cream Bomb was OK, severed with Merlot, proposed by Frank Hanson of Crub Brokers who said "everyone expects something sweet with the final wine pairing, I brought them a different twist," which seemed to work. We were well taken care of by Taylor, the front house manager, who aims to please. When you go to Ginny Lane, ask for Taylor, tell him we sent you, he really goes out of his way to take care of you.

Another restaurant manager gave us a tip to try Ginny Lane for lunch and he was right. Lunch specials range from $8-12. We tried 3 and all were excellent. There were fish and cooked like a chef's meal, not a short-order lunch meal. Very good service. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Will definitely return.
