OMG, I'm so glad we tried it. We went for lunch and could no believe the choices for specials - not the typical one thing on each day. There were probably 12 items ranging from $6 to $8. I had 2 large pieces of meatloaf (and brought one piece home), real mashed potatoes, peas and muffins for $6 and my husband had a large hamburger steak, cooked to order, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans and muffins for $8. Another surprise was that the specials went to 6PM, PLUS included Saturday!!! I can't imagine what the dinner specials might be. Everything was delicious, people were friendly, place was clean. We will be bringing our golf group here after playing a round soon. They also have a pet friendy patio. Full bar but didn't seem to have a Happy Hour or at least not a 2pm. Drinks a little pricey so maybe that makes up for the cheap food.

This restaurant is located at the very back part of the wharf. Enter the main entrance to the wharf, drive all the way down and then turn left at the road's end. Ginnny Lane is on the left at the end of the block. They have a nice outdoor patio but it was too cold for outside eating when we went. We had a party of 8 and several of us had the lobster special. It included a 1 pound Maine lobster, two sides and a glass of wine for $16.99. The lobster was perfectly done. We also tried the fried calamari. This was tender and flavorful. One person ordered the crab cakes and said they were just so-so. Everyone else thought their meals delicious. They had a wide selection of the menu. Portions were genenerous and our server was top notch. They also had entertainment starting at 6 p.m.

One of the best places in Orange Beach and best at the Wharf! Food is delicious and the prices are unbelieveably reasonable

Our family has been to the Gulf Shores area between Christmas and New Years each of the last two years. We have dined at Ginny Lane both visits. In 2011, the food and the service was both very good. The menu variety of seafood, cajun and traditional American options was a good fit for our group.

The experience in 2012 was not nearly as good. The food was fairly bland with the greatest complaint being over the texture and quality of the grits. A small part of our order (a cup of gumbo) was forgotten by our server, but they quickly brought it to the table when reminded.

The menu still provides a nice variety in terms of food options and prices. However, the inconsistency from one visit to the next is a cause for concern.

They host a wine pairing dinner once a month (on the 1st Thursday) that is not only delicious but, a real bargain at $35 per person! Where can you go these days for a wonderful 4 course meal that includes wine? Ginny Lane, that's where! The wait staff couldn't be more accomodating! Example of most recent wine pairing menu: Brie in puff pastry with sliced pears and rasberry sauce; perfectly seared tuna over arugala; melt in your mouth boneless short ribs over mashed red potatoes with a superb demi glaze; chocolate cobbler served in a martini glass with rasberry sauce in the bottom, a small scoop of real vanilla ice cream on top and dusted with cocoa powder! Each course served with a wine that compliments the food beautifully! You can even purchase any that you like after dinner. Same lovely couple also own Zen and Villagio. Of the three Ginny Lane is our favorite!
