“Great Condo Experience”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Stayed in condo 216 it was wonderful. Clean well equipped and comfortable beds. Only problem was neighbours would sneak a smoke on balcony and wind would blow the smoke into our condo. Told the condo management and it was taken care of very quickly. The pools were clean and never busy. We had a great time here will be back.

We stayed at the Phoenix X in room 1505 Sept. 9-15 2012. We booked the trip online through Brett/Robinson and check in was easy (be sure the person making the reservation is at least 25. We had to switch our reservation to my boyfriend's name when we arrived. The lady at the front desk was super nice and made the name switch quickly for us.) The front desk is open 24 hours so you can check in late or check out early with no trouble.

The room was clean and very spacious for a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The TVs in the living room and bedroom both had DVD players which we took advantage of via the Redbox. There was a dining table inside and one outside on the balcony. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There was a full size washer and dryer in the unit. The condo was tastefully decorated too. It was "beachy" without being cheesy.

The location was great. It is right across the Alabama state line beside the Flora-Bama. Don't worry though, you can't hear any of the noise from the Flora-Bama in the room.

This was my first visit to the Gulf and I'm glad we chose Orange Beach! It is beautiful! The sand is super soft and fine and the water was clear enough to see some fish!

I noticed some of the other reviewers had issues with the internet connection. Yes, it was a little slow but we were always able to connect. The speed didn't matter much to us because we were there to enjoy the beach, not to be online the whole time. It was good enough to look up local restaurants, upload a few pictures to Facebook and even download a magazine on iPad.

The parking garage was great. It's on the same side of the road as the hotel and it is spacious enough to drive in and park easily. (Very different from the parking garages at Myrtle Beach, SC which are across the street and TINY!)

The outdoor pool was nice. It's large, clean, and there are plenty of chairs around it. We didn't use the indoor pool since it was warm weather but it looked very nice too.

Overall, the Phoenix X, Brett/Robinson, and Orange Beach made for a great vacation. I hope I get the chance to visit again soon! :)

Room Tip: We stayed on the 15th floor (top floor of this building) and had a great view. We never had to wait...

We recently stayed at Phoenix X, 1505; booked through Brett-Robinson. The one bedroom unit was clean and comfortable for a couple. The kitchen was stocked with basic cooking necessities. The view of the beach was fantastic! The patio furniture was nice and accomodating. The beach was beautiful and a good mix of families and adults without kids. The pool and hot tubs were constantly filled with kids. We checked in on a Thursday and although check-in wasn't until 3 pm they allowed us to park early and our room was ready around noon; they sent us a text to let us know our room was ready. It is also right next door to the FloraBama, which was fun for us but others might not think so.

The one complaint we have is that obviously the people who stayed in the unit prior to us let them know the tub drain was slow; however, they showed up on the 3rd day of our stay asking us about it, when we didn't report it, it was a little strange.

We will definitely be back!

What a great place to have a Family Reunion. My husband rented six condos for our family and we all had a blast! Everyone enjoyed the beach the pool and the excercise room. We are from Indiana, some came from Cleveland and North Carolina and they all said it was worth it !

Room Tip: We always stay in 1502, it is our favorite. But my stepson had 1008 it was very nice also, they were...

We love Phoenix X.. perfect location for a family vacation. We rented through Meyer Real Estate and stayed in unit 317. This is large 3 bedroom unit. All the living room and dining furniture was brand new and beautiful. Perfect location..parking garage at the same level. This is a large condo buidling and has a very large gulf front beach. It is not as crowded as other building we have stayed. We love Orange Beach and this is best building for us.

My family from Atlanta, Mandeville, La. and metairie, la.met and stayed in the phoenix X for 4 nights. We had a great time on the beach, swimming pool barbecue area. The staff was great and the condos were conveniently located to serve any of our needs. We have already made reservations for 2013 at the Phoenix X.

We recently spent three nights in the Phoenix X. Our condo was clean but was in bad need of a new paint job. My biggest disappointment was the lack of property maintenance. Our third floor central lobby area was filthy. Wet towels, food scraps, sand covered areas of the carpet. From the item we got there till we left everything was is the same place as when we got there. someone had broken the lower pane of one of the glass doors to the lobby area and the only repair we saw was some
caution tape put on the glass to hold it in the door. Not a good situation when kids are running around without shoes.
We will definitely never stay here again.
