“What a find!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Doing the Robert Trent Jones Trail our server at the golf course, Daria, a foodie and hospitality major, told us about Cafe 123 so off we went. We found a number of fine restaurants on our tour of Alabama but this was the best. Excellent food and service. Hope they comp Daria with a bottle of wine when she is there for her graduation dinner with parents in December.

“Wonderful little Place in Downtown Opelika”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

I actually dined at Cafe 123 twice in one week. First night with a total of 4 people and the next time with 7 people.

The food here is prepared carefully with great flavors. We started with Mussels which were excellent. Shrimp and grits were very good as well. The menu consists of catch of the day, steak, and a chicken dish with a variety of preparations.

Service is good, could be better when they get busy, but still its ok. The place is small but comfortable.

I would not recommend this restaurant for young children. Parking on the street is easy. You need to call to make a reservation.

“Mute Please”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

The rating of “Very Good” is relative to resturants in the Auburn/Opelika area.

Café One Twenty-three is located in “Old Town” Opelika. It was easy to find and street parking was readily available. On Saturday night, people without reservations were turned away. The menu was limited. Our dinners were well prepared, presented, and served hot. The noise level was a detractor. It was LOUD!! The facility cries out for a noise abatement renovation.

“High quality food; charming location”
Reviewed October 29, 2011

If you are visiting Auburn University and looking for a restaurant for upscale dining with your student or friends, then this is a very solid choice. It is located in historic Opelieka. The decor is casual yet upscale. The food is terrific. We especially liked the brown sugar rubbed rib eye. Enjoy.

“Great little eclectic restaurant.”
Reviewed November 7, 2010

We were in Auburn for a game and wanted to find a decent, non chain meal and stumbled on this in Trip Advisor. Meals were $20-35 so a bit pricey but this is not your avg college town meal. Steaks, pasta, fish. Nice meal for a price.
