“High Season prices for poorly conditioned courses”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

The shot course and the Links course greens were in poor condition --- bumpy, bare spots and just not up to "par". The driving range appeared to be in good shape but they had you hitting off mats, not what you would or should expect when you are paying premium prices. The should provide a yardage book in the price as even using GPS or range finders you could not find the humps and hazards. BTW, you usually see green stakes where water or marsh cuts into courses. Not here.
Service was good although the food service was slow with no beverage/food cart on the day we played.
A last point for consideration. We played three RTJ Trail areas - Cambian Ridge, Grand National and Capital Hill. Cambian Ridge was the worse by far. I dropped an email to management on the cost versus the course condition and value and have not heard anything back yet (eight days). We were very disappointed and shall neither return nor recommend the courses (except Capital Hill).

“Golf Trip”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Drove from Atlanta,GA to Grand National GC and it was well worth it. The staff was spot on, especially the starter. Excellent course conditions and not an extremely tough course.

“Beautiful but Deadly”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Just absolutely great golf; the two regulation courses and the executive course as well. Fantastic practise facility. The Links and Lakes are wonderful courses (does not mean easy), but fun to play. Mr Jones is a bit sadistic in a good way..on the Lakes course every green seemed to be like a fortress, and once you got into the fortress, you still had a wild ride with the wild undulations. I absolutely loved my rounds here, and made even better by playing with some wonderful people. The executive course is beautiful and still tough. The greens on the executive were not in th best shape but do not let that detract from the enjoyment of playing such a course. This was a "WOW" golf experience.

“Challenging but definitely worth playing”
Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

Played both the Lakes and Links course twice over a 3 day period. Both courses are challenging and different. The staff are great and very attentive. Food at the grille is good. A short two hour drive from Atlanta.

“Outstanding Golf”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

We enjoyed both courses this past weekend. The golf shop personnel, starters and cart personnel are very friendly and helpful. The course is very challenging for the average golfer, if you are a 100 shooter play at the white tees and hit them straight, accuracy is very important to keep your ball in play. We enjoyed the Lake Course a little more than the Links course, the Lake course was a bit more forgiving. We walked both days with a pull cart. Both courses are very interesting, and a beautiful layout. We had a lot of fun playing and look forward to giving it another go. Watch out for the sand traps, they are tough, one pot bunker even had a stair set in it.
