Walls and ceiling were paper thin. Seemed to be no sound insulation at all. You could hear the people next door in a normal voice level. Noise from above was enough to disturb our sleep. The curtains on the window did not keep out the exterior lights that were aimed at the building. We wound up tucking rolled up towels above the rod to block as much light as we could. Carpet was extremely dirty.

I had an excellent stay. The room was just a bit small compared to other Microtels I've stayed at, but the beautiful room, nice furniture, and newness of it completely made up for the size. I had a flat screen TV in my room, granite countertops in the bathroom, GREAT water pressure, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. There is a fitness center with 2 treadmills, an elliptical machine, and a stationary bike-- all great equipment. The complimentary breakfast was okay-- apples/oranges, Eggo waffles, bagels/toast, yogurt, and cereal. Each day, different types of eggs & a breakfast meat were served, but I'm pretty sure the eggs were not real, or were at least microwaved. But for free, I'm not complaining!

The service was wonderful also. All of the employees I spoke with were very friendly & upbeat, which is a sign of good management also. The location is nice--less than 10 minutes drive to campus and you are about 60 seconds from I-85. Across the street from the hotel is a shopping center (Tiger Town) that has every store you could possibly want, from Best Buy to Books-a-Million, Target, Old Navy, Hobby Lobby, World Market, and the nicest Kroger I've ever seen. In that shopping center are also lots of restaurants like Chik-fil-a, Buffalo Wild Wings & Zaxby's. There's also a LongHorn about 2 minutes away.

Overall, this was a great stay at a nice, new hotel. Can't beat the price, either!

We stayed both on our way to our destination and on the way back and were really pleased with our choice. We had heard Microtels were small rooms....not so! These rooms are very clean up to date and modern with a decent breakfast all for a very good price! They had the very best showers and the hot water did not run out! The staff were very accommodating changing a reservation for us at the last minute and giving us a first floor room as we had a senior in our group...always had a smile and were very pleasant ....refreshing! A very American hotel and that was a pleasant surprise!
