Jimmy's was the first restaurant my wife and I ate at in Opelika. It remains our favorite. It is well worth the price. Between menu changes and Jimmy's creative method of food prep dining there is always an experience. Whenever we have company we always swing by Jimmy's for lunch. Enjoy the charm of Opelika and an enjoyable meal at Jimmy's.

“A most enjoyable dining experience in Opelika, Alabama”
Reviewed July 14, 2008

Jimmy's is a chef-owned New Orleans themed restaurant seating 65 people in the downtown Opelika historic district. The decor is restrained Mardi Gras and the food also centers on upscale New Orleans cuisine.
There are a number of entrees and appetizers that are inspired by the seafood of the New Orleans area, as well as specials that branch further afield and choices for the meat and poultry eaters. My husband and I have been very pleased with the strength of the kitchen on a number of visits. We also believe that the food has improved steadily during the two and a half years that we have been coming. The wine list is quite impressive for a restaurant of this size and features many interesting selections from around the world. Both the wine and the food are good values as well. The chef is
also able to accommodate special dietary requirements.
A review of Jimmy's would be incomplete without a mention of the monthly wine dinners. These have a theme: Possibly a country such as France or Italy, a food like scallops or beef or even a unifying concept---food from the local farmer's markets or an upcoming July dinner offering all cold foods such as vitello tonnato. These wine dinners are the type that are like a dinner party where we are assigned to a table with soon-to-be friends and are a lot of fun.
We have lived in the adjacent town of Auburn for 38+ years and are delighted to have Jimmy's in the area.
