Great location - right downtown - and a wonderful renovation of a great old hotel (like a smaller scale version of the Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY or the Westin in Detroit).

Staff were very friendly all throughout the stay with the notable exception of one guy at checkout. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that didn't negate the great service from everyone else.

Room on the top floor was very nicely done - overall a little smaller than newer hotels, but well laid out and great quality of renovation. Very bright in the morning with windows on two sides. Bathroom was big and modern.

Overall, great location, nicely done renovation, friendly service (95% of people), and good value. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Top floor on a corner will give you windows on two sides and lots of light.

The hotel was pleasent. The staff was friendly. The renvocations were very good, considering the building is older. The rooms were clean. Having stayed in numerous Hilton/Hampton properties, this location met my expectations. Dining choices in the area are limited.

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very nice and comfortable, and breakfast was good. The parking is limited so if you get a chance pay for valet or parking in their parking lot it would be a good idea.

This hotel is in the middle of everything good in Montgomery. Great staff and walking distance to awesome food and sites. Country music fans, this hotel sits right next to the Hank Williams Museum. The riverwalk and ball park are just 2 blocks away. In between, anything you would want to eat or drink.

This is an old Montgomery, AL hotel that has been converted by Hampton Inn to a lovely restored hotel. It is clean, charming, and in the heart of downtown Montgomery, a city that has developed its downtown into a vibrant, yet quaint area with well-lit brick alleys lined with restaurants and galleries. It is only a few blocks from the state Capitol and is a block from the river. The cost of a stay is quite reasonable and the hotel is across the street from the upscale Renaissance Hotel where outdoor dining is available with live music.
