My wife and I had a wonderful stay in the Sandpiper suite. The room is as nice as described in many of the other reviews. Jim is the consummate host, attentive to the slightest detail to ensure a memorable visit. A subtle but meaningful touch was the welcome he prepared for us using Scrabble letters. There is a fascinating piece of Scrabble letter art that you have to see for yourself and get Jim to tell you the story. We were the only guests in the inn during our stay and feel very blessed that we were able to spend time with Jim. Over the course of a very leisurely breakfast, Jim sat with us at the table, drinking coffee and sharing stories about his life and family. Terrance and Philip, Jim's cats, also joined for breakfast. They are interesting and very different personalities that have a story of their own as well. We could not be more pleased with our stay and highly recommend the Lattice Inn!

My two sons and I stayed at The Lattice Inn B&B during our stay in Montgomery. It was the best experience. Awesome customer service, very accomodating they go above and beyond. Great relaxing experience and delicious homemade breakfast. Great conversation.

Jim runs a small B&B in the historic part of Montgomery. This was our second stay at the property - both times in the Sandpiper Suite. The suite has a king size bed, two wing chairs for sitting, in-room frig., unobtrusive flat screen TV, and a nice bathroom with claw foot tub and separate shower with grab bar and seat.
The home itself has two front parlors with comfortable seating and plenty of reading material. This is the ideal location for singles or couples desiring a daily retreat. We were visiting family with small children, so we definitely enjoyed our evening retreat to the B&B.
Breakfast is in the dining room. Jim makes a wonderful frittata, accompanied by fresh fruit and tomatoes. He is a gracious host and accommodated my older aunt by making a separate breakfast that fit her special diet.
One of the joys of staying in a B&B is the other guests one meets. Our stay was brightened by the author of a book on Zelda Fitzgerald (wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald and the inspiration for many of his characters). This is a small B&B, so the chance of having a wonderful chat with a fellow guest is high.
We enjoyed our gracious host and fellow guest immensely. I almost forgot to mention that this B&B is reasonably priced and therefore enables a multi-day stay without draining the wallet. Also, one allergy warning - Jim has two cats.

While enjoying our early Sunday morning outside hot-tub pleasure at The Lattice Inn B&B, the sound of bells at a local church brought forth the memory of a quote from Zuzu Bailey in “It’s A Wonderful Life” (movie from 1946). The quote “Everytime a bell rings an angel gets its wings” seemed appropriate in reflecting on our four-day romantic getaway at The Lattice Inn. Our hopes of hospitality, relaxation, delicious breakfasts, tidiness, and comfort were certainly realized. We couldn’t have had a more enjoyable experience. Innkeeper Jim was a perfect host and offered suggestions about “things to do while in Montgomery” that made for a more perfect experience. The quote from Zelda Fitzgerald (1900-1948), native of Montgomery, was quite accurate when she said, “We grew up founding our dreams on the infinite promise of American advertising”. The Lattice Inn B&B advertising and marketing is quite accurate in their brochures and advertising statements. Dreams can come true! We would be remiss if we didn’t also add that everyone we encountered in Montgomery was extremely friendly and helpful.

Ironically, the author of the newly published Zelda Fitzgerald book “SuperZelda” was also staying at The Lattice Inn during our stay and we enjoyed friendly and interesting breakfast discussions with author Ms. Tizano Lo Porto of Italy. She was in Montgomery for a book signing of her newly published book.

We certainly recommend The Lattice Inn B&B to anyone who will be visiting Montgomery. You will be rewarded for making such a wise choice as the Lattice Inn B&B.

So, in conclusion, “thank you” to the angel who received its wings for our four-day Lattice Inn B&B romantic getaway experience. We are confident you will have the same feelings.

We picked this place based on the overwhelmingly "Excellent" TripAdvisor ratings and were not disappointed in the least. The inn is beautiful, inviting and super comfortable and the attention to detail in accommodations and service is impeccable. And the breakfasts... oh my word. Absolutely to live for. To say Jim is an attentive and gracious host would be an understatement. We felt pampered and cared for. If you are even remotely in the area it would be worth detouring to Montgomery to stay a night or more. A lovely experience.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sandpiper suite. Beautifully appointed room with a lovely full bath.
