If what you are hankering for is an old fashioned griddle hamburger, this is about the best tasting one in America. Its not the flat fast food kind, and its not the fat, tasteless sitdown restaurant kind, but the old fashioned drug store hamburger cooked on a griddle, a tad greasy, a little flat and crumbly, but full of real flavor.
The wait is long, the place is a hole in the wall, but the husband/wife team take your order (in person or on the phone), write it on a white paper sack and with exceptional teamwork and no flubbed movements they get that sucker onto and off the griddle and into the little white sack, just like you ordered it.
The hamburger comes in two sizes: regular and large. I think you can get a coke and maybe a bag of chips, but the hamburger is king . There are a few tables and space at the counter, but mostly I call in, pick it up at the outside window and take it back to my desk for a special, special treat. But I start calling early and have them on speed dial, cause the number is busy, busy, busy.
