“Monument still stands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

This monument on the grounds of the Alabama Capitol stands to tell a part of the history of the United States, one that some times is misrepresented. It was raining while we were there but the monument with the First National Flag of the Confederacy still told their story.

Honorable tribute to the Confederacy and all the soldiers in general. On the grounds of the Capitol building. A history lesson and art all in one.

“Impressive and Deserving Respect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

The camillias were in bloom and perfectly viewed as we walked the staircase to a simply beautiful and most respectful monument to those who fought for human rights. This monument is so impressive, take a moment to feel a piece of America.

“When at Capital...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

It is right out the north door of the capital so there is no reason not to see it if you are at the capital anyway, I like the seaman statue the best.
