The Alabama Shakespeare Festival was great. I was only visiting. I didn't expect to find such a meaning fun cultural event. I have no complaints except for parking which was understandably challenging.

“Nice family outing”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Museum, Ducks, and grounds are nice. The Theater is also excellent. Do be careful to notice some locals around the theater seemed to be sculling around.

“A real Plus for Montgomery”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We have been members in the past but have not joined lately due to traveling and not being on hand for plays. It's a beautiful facility and we have really enjoyed the plays we have attended. Take a stroll around the grounds, beautiful and relaxing. An evening at the AL Shakespeare Festival is not to be missed, thoroughly enjoyable. If you don' t want to be a member do take time to go and see a play..

“A Must See”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

This is a beautiful place to visit. The grounds are lovely and during the day, it is normal to see a lot of people enjoying the property. The Montgomery Museum is also on the grounds. They have a fine collection.

They produce a variety of stage plays and musicals each season. As the name implies, there are some Shakespeare each season. They also have a wide variety of other playwrites. This is no community theatre. It is professional productions! The prices are reasonable for the quality of production.

“Montgomery Gem!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Nestled in a beautiful park in Montgomery is the ASF building, a world class theater with fantastic production values. Broadway caliber performances by actors from across the land (this is on many an actor's 'bucket list' of places to work) with an occasional traveling show thrown in for good measure ensure that there is quality theater available in Montgomery on a regular basis. Add in the Southern Writer's Project, and you have a winning combination and a treat for anyone with the good fortune to see a play here.
