“A moving experience”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

The Memorial Centre provides the stories behind those people shockingly wronged during a dark period of Black Americans seeking equal rights. As non US residents, we were very moved by what happened, and the Centre provides a fitting tribute to those who died, but not forgotten.

“Worth the visit!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

For only $2, this is worth the visit. Not quite as well done as the Rosa Parks museum, but for those that are touring the civil rights sights, you should definitely visit. The memorial out front was under repair.

“You must go there.”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

When you are in Montgomery you must visit the Civil Rights Memorial Center. The tour is very interesting. They tell you all about the situation in the time that discimination was normal and as a European I was deeply impressed. They still do a lot of good work.

“Lessons in bravery”
Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

This museum celebrates individuals who died because of racism in the United States. Some were civil rights activists; some were simply caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was inspired by the bravery of ordinary Americans who stepped forward to encourage people to vote, to speak out against injustice. They acted at great risk to themselves and their families, and they paid with their lives. We must not forget them.
