Brunch crab cake eggs benedict were wonderful. I am not a grits fan but my husband's shrimp and grits were awesome. We also love the pizza there and the hot crawfish dip is yummy. Small and gets busy on Friday nights and Sunday morning especially but worth the wait.

My wife and I found this place on Yelp and decided to stop in for brunch on a road trip home to NOLA after a long weekend in Pensacola. To say this is off the beaten path is to minimize the effort it took to get there in Mobile, but Mobile isn't any kind of tourist destination in my mind, so this isn't a negative in any way.

It is a nice little hole in the wall in a tiny little strip mall. You don't know what you're going to get until you actually go in because the front windows are tinted. It's actually kind of charming with not many tables but a nice long bar - a total neighborhood joint. So, this seemed a perfect spot for Sunday brunch. But one note about it being Sunday - no mimosas until noon. (Big bummer.) Another reason Mobile isn't on any kind of tourist destination list.

But all was not lost. Our food was good. The frittata was yummy, and the shrimp and grits were good with some nice sausage too. The grits could have been less runny - they need to be able to sit on a fork - not run through it. But they tasted good.

I would absolutely recommend this place to someone looking for brunch or an authentic local joint. The staff was all really friendly and nice, and the place was clean and welcoming.

Mobile has a plethora of phenomenal restaurants, and our favorite restaurant in the city is Ashland Pub. Everything we've tried there has been delicious.

Their lasagna might be the best I've ever had. The fresh homemade sauce makes it so incredible with the perfect blend of flavorful herbs and spices. The roasted red pepper crawfish dip is amazing. Their pasta dishes and pizzas won't disappoint, and the ahi tuna salad is divine. The best thing on the menu is definitely the mahi caprese! Yumm! It's a piece of fresh mahi, topped with pesto, tomato slices, mozzarella and olive oil, served on a bed of pasta in a creamy sauce, all topped with parmesan. It's pretty addictive!

The Sunday brunch menu is different from the regular menu. The mimosas are top notch! I had the Captain Crunch French toast with cream cheese and berry filling. My hubs has the Mimo's Crabcakes Benedict. Holy cow! It's exactly what it sounds like: crabcakes, topped with eggs, smothered in a crawfish gravy. We each got a side of cheese grits and those were great too.

The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The service is always friendly and the place is clean. I love the artwork on the walls, most of which is for sale.

Whether you're having lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch, Ashland Pub is a must in Mobile!

Really nice pub. Great pizza and friendly staff. Popular with the locals. Not so easy to find - on the south side of the street in small building. Just one other store there. Nice locale. Enjoy!
