The USS Alabama and the rest of Battleship Memorial Park are well worth your time and worth the admission price. This is living history that you are able to touch and see. A great family attraction. My only complaint was the snack bar. We had kids with us, and they got hungry around 1:30 pm. We went to the snack bar and were informed that the grill was closed. They could not cook us anything but would sell us chips and soda or candy. I pushed the issue, since the park was open for several more hours, and the snack bar was also open for several more hours. The food service employees were rude and stated they were not about to dirty the grill after 1 pm, something which is done for employee convenience and the heck with paying visitors. I did not want to ruin our day, so I did not push the issue further. So, if you have kids with you, take food or eat early. The park is very much worth seeing. If you are a military, you can get a discounted admission by showing your ID card.
