I was introduced to this restaurant and later brought my parents too. This damilynown restaurant only serves 3-4 dishes. They are very standard to every table but it's truly spectacular. Their dishes are :
- sotong sambal masak petai (sambal squid with petai) - 5⭐
- asam fish - fish cook in sour asam. Unlike the regular asam, it doesn't have a lot of chilli. 4⭐
- fried fish - 3⭐
- otak otak - 5⭐
- deep fried eggs - must try... 5⭐

We ordered fried fish, garlic kangkung, and the sambal petai shrimp and squid with rice and were charged around rm70.. Personally that's a bit overpriced, the food is good especially the sambal petai but not at that price point.. I would give this place 5 stars if they could reduce the price or improve on the experience.. The place doesn't even have a menu so the price is quite unexpected, and somehow you should already know what to order if you are planning to go there .. Anyway it is worth a try and the auntie is friendly.. The restaurant is not halal certified but I have seen Muslims going there and they serve only seafood..

It was just after Chinese New Year and their food stock was limited. We were recommended 6 dishes and were not disappointed. The stir fry salt fish bean sprouts was just right and so was the sambal kangkong. Very nice Assam fish, unusual deep fried eggs but with soft yolks, tofu, and deep fried fish with sambal were all delicious. Will come again. Because it’s a Seafood restaurant it smells fishy on entering which can be a bit off putting.

Was there for early dinner on 22/7/2017 with mom, wife and daughter. As usual, their red snapper in tamarind sauce, sambal squid with smelly beans and fried egg are our usual orders. Have always patronised this place since 1997. Taste is always consistent although slightly pricey. The portions are huge. We ordered 7 rice which is considered many as my daughter did not eat. So, the food was consumed by 3 adults.

Do not have much choices but rest assured, always well done. Kitchen manned by family members unlike those commercialised pre cooked famous eateries which are manned by foreigners. These foreigners have either strayed away from the original peranakan recipe or full secret not passed down

Waiting time was fast as we arrived at 5.45pm. Later more tables came in and noticed they are local families with many aged 45 years old above. Guess they must know that this place, although slightly pricey still serves good food. Most vehicles parked outside have local plates.

I keep going back for their signature asam pedas fish. The broth is full of flavor. Tried their kangkung belacan & cuttlefish belacan. Both dishes are spicy but each brings out different flavor. Highly recommended, worth every visit & price reasonable.
