Stayed for a night on 30th September. Booked the room through internet. Arrived a bit early & room was ready. Check-in was fast & efficient. Room & amenities was good. Hotel close to shopping mall. Service at the Club was excellent - good spread of breakfast. Will definitely come back when visiting Malacca.
From the time we checked in, until the time we checked out 11 days later the service of the staff was exceptional. We were constantly made to feel special and the staff continually went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasurable as any hotel we have ever stayed at. The hotel is rated 4 star but in our experience it would be far better rated 5 star. Everything from the smallest detail was attended to. Everything was clean and every request was attended to promptly. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for anything to be done. Special thanks goes to Masita in the restaurant and Rockmal and the front door staff, who continually went the extra mile to provide exceptional service (particularly as our son was on crutches the entire time). The Tea Tree Spa was also 5 star service and quality! If you're an executive or a family looking for a place to stay in Malaka then don't look past the Holiday Inn. THANKS GUYS, we look forward to coming back!

Came for a one night stay on the 6th October 2012. It was a company trip and we were pre-occupied with team building activities that day. Our only chance to visit the SPA was the next day morning before returning to Singapore.
Before the trip to melacca, we were informed that the spa (award winning tea tree spa) was fully booked on the 7th October 2012. The opening hours for the spa is from 10am onwards. Fortunately, we managed to spoke to the manager who was kind enough to attend to us and make special arrangements for the spa for 6 persons at 8.30am.
All was hassel free and we just need to go for a light breakfast at 7.30am and then to the SPA.
We had a great relaxing and refreshing spa treatment. The Spa definately make my day, all thanks to those dedicated spa personnels. Very good services at the spa and is definately worth the price paid (also cheaper than in singapore).
The room at holiday inn melacca is also morden, clean , comfortable and the services are good.
Holiday inn melacca is also located near makota and a few shopping areas , including Jonker walk (within walking distance).
Overall, i will definately arrange for another personal re-vist and recommend holiday inn melaka to my friends, especially spa lovers like myself ;-).
Came for a one night stay on the 29th September. Booked a total of four rooms. Upon reaching at about 3pm the receptionist told us that only one room is ready. That was not all. We booked the rooms that includes breakfast and alteady paid the price. But receptionist informed that this was not reflected in their system. We didn't want to make a big issue out of it, so we asked on how long will the room be ready and to our dismay, she informed us that waiting time is 45mins per room. So could you imagine our frustrations??

Our group of three planned on staying in a boutique hotel through the duration of our travels but alas we had to resort to this big chain - good thing we still managed to get a room during the public holiday.
We had a really nice spacious room on a high floor so the view was great. Nice shower, TV with all sorts of channels to keep entertained. In-house spa was booked up unfortunately. Gym was relatively quiet - more people were found at the infinity pool. Great big breakfast spread along with the great big breakfast crowd, but no problems finding ourselves a table. We had a little trouble navigating to the hotel in our car. Big mall nearby though we didn't check it out.
