“Amazing heritage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014

If baba and nyonya heritage museum emphasise more on the house interior, this emphasis more on the jewellery and clothes back to 18th and 19th century. The staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the collection amazed me... they have sandals with diamond and also gold bag. Turns out the place was secured by 3 bodyguard and equipped with alarm system.

The same owner also have another museum at penang, bigger and more collection. If you know "little nyonya" tv series, this one in penang where one of the shot was taken.

Fee: 15 RMB.

“Great displays”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014

Great displays. A lot of things to see at this museum. Not just jewellery. The staff who explained the items on display were friendly. He was eager to share with us the stories or the history of the items. I think he would have done in many many times in a day so his eagerness to share with us these stories amazed me.All the rooms where the items were displayed are also air-conditioned. Cannot ask for anything else.

“Precious Gem - definitely worth visiting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

It was the first place we visited. It was not on our plan, we passed by it while we were searching for a temple, but it turns out to be a very memorable experience. The jewelry exhibits are amazing and not memtion that the guide is very informative and friendly :)

“Simply Awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014 via mobile

So, my friends and I were on our way to hunt for something to eat and we pass by this particular museum and was attracted to how the workers promote the museum itself. We then ended up entering without bothering our empty growling stomach.

The tour actually starts from upstairs and we were pretty glad that they have the air conditioner in there. We also have our very own tour guide filling us with all the details about the Baba Nyonya and who was eager to answer any questions we had in mind. The tour guides in there are also pretty friendly to us despite we weren't part of their tour group. And, as far as I know, they actually have tour guides who can speak not just English but Chinese, Malay and a few more Chinese dialects.

We are to be honest, really like this museum as well as those friendly and polite workers they have who smiles pretty much all the time. It is highly recommended for people to visit this amazing museum.

“Surprisingly Better Than Expected.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

We were just passerby's. We went into the other museum further in front in the morning, were returning to the hotel and got caught up by the promotes. This museum is to-be-honest, quite small compared to the other one. But what's out of our expectation is, it has really sufficing information adding up to its 30 years collection by its owner. They worth more than what we could make for our whole lives. And the guide who explained was just so friendly and polite with the pleasant smile on her face no matter how much I think we actually asked too much questions and would have irritated her. It's really worth it to spend just RM 15 to learn all the traditions, history and culture. 15 to exchange with uncountable splendid knowledge. Why not?
