My wife and I had Yinn as our museum guide. Throughout the tour, she was very informative and lively. It was an added bonus to the overall experience to the museum.

The artefacts are amazing and they displayed a lot of well maintained artefacts. Plus, guest may come up close to the displays and have a real good look at it. Some of it, guest may even touch and interact with it!

Worth a visit. For those contemplating to go this museum or the other similar museum, please go both! It's a different experience.

We stumbled upon this museum where we met a lovely, young English speaking girl who was our tour guide. She was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. We came away with a better understanding of malaccas Chinese history and their influence on jewelry and ornament. Very interesting stuff.

We stumbled on this museum en-route to the other baba nonya museum, and can compare both.

This museum and its contents we preferred. The jewellery was the main picture, but the lovely lady who gave us an almost personal guided tour was very knowledgeable and helpful in her descriptions of all aspects of baba nonya, and as a tour of the other areas of the house was included,it meant there was no need therefore to visit the other museum, as one house is almost the same as the other.

We were walking by when a friendly Chinese lady urged us to consider coming in. We were going to pass it up because of plans to see a similar venue the next day, but when she said that photography was permitted in much of the museum-house & that a very informative tour lasted about 30 minutes, we were sold. After shooting photography outside all morning during "magic hour" we came back & got the tour with her leading us around upstairs & then ending downstairs.

There's one minor section where photography is not allowed due to the value of the items in the collection, but they were very generous with us as we took images of our enthusiastic & very knowledgable guide. She knew her stuff, fielded questions beautifully, & was the epitome of enthusiasm about whatever she was telling us about.

This was a very worthwhile tour that we truly enjoyed.

We're told that this place is owned by the same owners who run the Peranakan Mansion in Georgetown, Penang. Funny as we were very impressed with the collection there, but had an extremely negative experience with the staff in Penang. The staff here is terrific & definitely an asset to their remarkably restored home & collection.
